Samsung launched the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE via the Unpacked event about a month earlier. The ‘FE’ stands for Fan Edition and it’s essentially this year’s Galaxy Note 10 Lite and S10 Lite as there are two editions.
Samsung S20 FE is available in two variants, the standard S20 FE comes with Exynos 990 and is limited to 4G LTE whereas the S20 FE 5G comes with Snapdragon 865.
Samsung Nepal has launched the Exynos 990 variant of Samsung Galaxy S20 FE in Nepal exclusively via Daraz. The Samsung Galaxy S20 FE price in Nepal is Rs. 69,999 for the 8/128GB variant.

Samsung Galaxy S20 FE Overview
Design
Samsung S20 FE is using a plastic back instead of glass but still retains an aluminum frame. The bezels on the front look a bit bigger than that of the S20 but the hole-punch is the smallest even on the Galaxy series. However, Samsung hasn’t cut the corner in terms of water resistance as it comes with an IP68 rating.
Other than that the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor is replaced by an optical sensor on the S20 FE. Samsung has emphasized the colors with the S20 FE as it is available in two colors: Cloud Mint, and Cloud Navy.
Furthermore, Samsung mentioned in their Unpacked event that the matte finish on the back should hide the fingerprints.
Display
On the display front, it is using a 6.5 inches Super AMOLED display. It’s a 120Hz display but it’s not a QHD display though. Also, the display is totally flat on the S20 FE.
Instead of Gorilla Glass 6, it uses Gorilla Glass 4 and has a screen to body ratio of 84.8%. Also, it looks like it doesn’t use the variable refresh rate display that we find on the Note 20 Ultra.
Camera
While the S20 FE retains more or less the same camera module from the S20, it skimps out on the 64MP telephoto lens to cut some costs.
It has a main 12MP main sensor, 12MP telephoto lens with 3X optical zoom, and a 12MP ultrawide sensor. Furthermore, it also offers optical stabilization and 10x digital zoom.
On the front, it has a 32MP selfie camera and it looks like this one is from the Samsung Galaxy A71.
So, it doesn’t support 8k videos as the 64MP sensor is now gone. It can capture videos up to 4K 60fps.
Hardware
Samsung has been receiving a lot of heat for Exynos 990 and for the S20 FE it has two models: Exynos 990 and Snapdragon 865. The 4G variant comes with Exynos 990 and the 5G variant comes with Snapdragon 865. We are getting the Exynos 990 variant phones in Nepal.

The S20 FE comes with 8GB RAM and 128/256GB storage.
Battery
S20 FE has a 4500 mAh battery which the same as the S20+ and an upgrade from S20’s 4000 mAh. It comes with 15W fast charging in the box but it does support 25W fast charging as well.
It comes with One UI 2.5 on top of Android 10. And, it doesn’t have a headphone jack if you were hoping for its return.
