What is the Price of Samsung Galaxy A56 in Nepal?
The Samsung Galaxy A56 price in Nepal is Rs. 65,999 (8/256GB), and Rs. 70,999 (12/256GB).
The phone will be available for pre-booking from until March 24. By pre-paying NPR 2,000, customers can pre-order the Galaxy A56 5G and get the Galaxy Fit3, worth NPR 7,999, for just NPR 3,999.
Customers can also get the Galaxy A56 on EMI through Samsung’s InstaFinance or exchange it via SabkoPhone and ArkoStore. Furthermore, they can opt to combine both these facilities too.
And sadly, it seems Samsung is no longer offering a free bundled charger. This was kind of expected, considering one of the upgrades the Galaxy A56 brings is a 45W charging speed support, and that adapter costs a hefty 5,500 rupees!
The Samsung Galaxy A56 has some big shoes to fill, given the popularity of last year’s A55. And looking at the spec sheet, it feels like it does exactly that. It has a faster processor, a larger display, a light body weight, and many AI features.
Let’s dive into what the Galaxy A56 has to offer in even more detail.

Samsung Galaxy A56 Overview
Design
The biggest change, design-wise, is the back camera module. The Galaxy A56 has a linear (pill-shaped) camera module. Samsung got rid of the camera ring design that had been their signature for many years. Apart from the camera module, the A56 looks pretty much the same as its predecessor.
However, the phone’s dimensions have changed quite significantly. It has grown 1.1mm taller, and its thickness has been slashed by nearly a millimeter too! Other than that, it has grown slightly broader and lighter than last year.
The phone has a brushed aluminum frame with slightly raised power and volume buttons on the right, which Samsung calls Key Island.
The A56 is certified IP67 dust and water-resistant. The phone comes in three colors in Nepal: Graphite, Olive, and Lightgray.
Display
The A56 features a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. And unlike the A55, the bezel on the A56 is slightly thinner.
However, the phone doesn’t have uniform bezels—it has a slight chin. The lower part of the screen has a thicker bezel, giving it a budget feel despite being an upper-mid-range device. Maybe I’m just nitpicking, but even cheaper phones than the A56, like the Nothing Phone (3a), offer more uniform bezels.
In terms of brightness, it reaches 1200 nits under direct sunlight in HBM mode with a peak brightness of 1900 nits. The Galaxy A56 display is certified HDR10+ and is protected by a Gorilla Glass Victus+ on the front and back.

Hardware
Samsung’s A56 is the first phone to feature the Exynos 1580 processor. The octa-core CPU consists of 1x 2.9 GHz Cortex-A20, 3x 2.6GHz Cortex-A729, and 4x 1.95 GHz Cortex-A520 cores and uses ARMv9 cores, a major performance boost compared to the Exynos 1480 (featured in A55), which uses an ARMv8 core.
It uses An Xclipse 540 GPU, based on AMD’s RDNA 3 architecture, to handle the graphics. The NPU on this thing is apparently better suited to handle all the “Awesome Intelligence” stuff.
For memory, the Galaxy A56 comes with either 8 or 12 GB RAM and 256 GB internal storage with UFS 3.1 for faster read/write speeds. Unfortunately, there is no support for microSD cards this year, and probably won’t be in future A50 series.
Cameras
Specs-wise, the triple camera on the Samsung Galaxy A56 includes a 50MP main, a 12MP ultrawide, and a 5MP macro sensor. The main camera has OIS to reduce camera shake and blur and is capable of recording videos up to 4K at 30fps.
The A56 features a single 16MP selfie camera, which may seem like a downgrade from the A55’s 32MP. However, it’s actually an upgrade, as the new camera sensor is larger and improves image quality.
Lastly, the selfie camera can record videos up to 4K at 30fps.

Battery
The phone comes with the same 5000mAh Li-ion battery as last year. However, it now supports Super Fast Charging 2.0 just like Samsung’s flagship devices. This is quite monumental, given this is the first time we are seeing 45W charging support on Samsung’s A-series device.
Samsung says this allows you to charge up to 65% in just 30 minutes and 100% in 68 minutes in practical usage.
The boost in charging speed might also be why Samsung is getting rid of the free charger they used to bundle in previously. So, we will have to invest another Rs. 5,500 to get the best charging experience.
Given that, there is no free charger this time and that other phones in this price range offer a higher battery capacity, faster charging speeds, and also include a charger in the box, we will have to see if Galaxy A56 can hold the same weight as last year.
OS and AI
The device comes with Android 15 out of the box with One UI 7 skin applied on top. Samsung promises the A56 will receive security updates along with Android Updates for 6 years. Previously, users got four years of updates, so this extended support is a significant improvement.
The Samsung Galaxy A56 comes with Samsung Knox Vault, which is a hardware-based tamper-resistant environment that holds sensitive data. It physically isolates PINs, passwords, biometrics, and security-critical keys away from the rest and stores them in the secure memory.
Like its S-series siblings, the A56 also gets lots of AI features like Auto Trim, Best Face, AI Select, Read Aloud, and Filters. On a side note, the AI on the A-series phones is apparently called “Awesome Intelligence”, and won’t be the same as “Galaxy AI”, which will remain reserved for the flagship lineup.

12/256GB | Rs. 70999 | Get Galaxy Fit3 at Rs. 3999 |
The Samsung Galaxy A56 is an iterative upgrade to the already solid Galaxy A55. It features a larger display and better processor while being lighter and thinner than its predecessor. The charging on this thing has also finally been updated to 45W. However, with the increasing competition with the likes of Xiaomi 14T, Nord 4, and Vivo V50 in the same price range, could the Galaxy A56 hold water?
