Samsung Galaxy A73 5G with Snapdragon 778G and 108MP Camera Launched in Nepal

Samsung has launched the Samsung Galaxy A73 5G in Nepal along with the Samsung Galaxy A53.

Samsung Galaxy A73 5G price in Nepal is Rs. 72,999  for the 8/256GB variant. It is now available for purchase via authorized retail stores.

Samsung A73 5G is the update to the Samsung A72 which was launched last year. So, what does the Samsung A73 5G has on offer? Let’s take a brief look.

Samsung Galaxy A73 5G Overview

Design

Samsung Galaxy A73 has the same design as the A72. Samsung has gone with a matte finish on the rear and the camera module is a mix of the S21 and Note 20 series.

On the front, it gets a punch hole right in the middle of the screen and an in-display optical fingerprint scanner.

To make it more premium, Samsung has included IP67 dust/water resistance on the A73 5G.

Display

Samsung Galaxy A73 gets a 6.7 inches FHD+ Super AMOLED+ panel with a 120Hz refresh rate.

This is a big upgrade over the 90Hz FHD+ panel that was included on the Samsung A72.

Hardware

Samsung Galaxy A73 is equipped with a Snapdragon 778G chipset. Snapdragon 778G has an Octa-core (1x Kryo 670 (A78) @ 2.4 GHz, 3x Kryo 670 (A78) @ 2.2 GHz,4x Kryo 670 (A55) @ 1.9 GHz ) CPU and Adreno 618 GPU.

For memory, it comes in three configurations: 6GB RAM/128GB Storage, 8GB RAM/128GB Storage and 8GB RAM/256GB Storage. And fun fact, they have included a micro SD slot that can be used to expand storage up to 1TB.

Snapdragon 778G is a good mid-range chipset with an integrated Snapdragon X53 5G Modem-RF which delivers mmWave and sub-6 5G connectivity support. Qualcomm’s triple ISP allows you to capture photos and videos from wide, ultrawide, and telephoto cams simultaneously.

Camera

In terms of the Camera, Samsung has brought some meaningful upgrades to the A73. Now, it enjoys the 108MP main sensor with OIS but the telephoto lens has been ditched.

Furthermore, there’s a 12MP ultra-wide-angle sensor with 123º FOV, a 5MP depth sensor, and a 5MP macro sensor.

On the front, there’s a 32MP selfie camera.

Battery & OS

Samsung Galaxy A72 gets the same 5000mAh battery along with 25W fast charging.

Furthermore, A73 5G runs on One UI 4.1 on top of Android 12.

Also, Samsung’s renewed OS upgrade policy will provide it with 4 years of OS and 5 years of security upgrades.
