The new additions address the initial shortcomings of the original model, making the Hunter a bit more appealing while still retaining its identity as the most affordable entry point into the RE family.

Alpha Automotive, the authorized distributor of Royal Enfield bikes in Nepal, has updated the Royal Enfield Hunter 350. It brings back key features like Dual-Channel ABS, which were noticeably missing during its initial launch, making it seem as though RE prioritized affordability above everything else.

Fortunately, things have now shifted for the better, following the same direction as the newly updated Classic 350 and Meteor 350. The Hunter 350 remains an enticing roadster, wrapped in a fun and stylish package, offering a refreshing alternative to the classic lineup.

With the new updates, the Hunter 350 becomes more modern, safer, and more comfortable to ride while still holding its place as one of the most affordable Royal Enfields in the range.

Previously, the RE Hunter 350 was priced up to Rs. 4.84 Lakhs and was available in Retro, Metro, and Rebel variants. While all three shared the same mechanical setup, the differences came from elements like switchgear and wheel type. With the 2025 update, RE Nepal has simplified the lineup.

Design

The Royal Enfield Hunter 350 embodies a compact neo-retro roadster design. It is the most urban-focused motorcycle in the lineup. It offers an approachable, stylish, and contemporary feel while carrying forward Royal Enfield’s classic DNA with modern and street-oriented ergonomics.

At the front, the Hunter maintains a clean and minimal look. The new LED headlamp update modernizes the design and improves road presence. Upright handlebars and a shortened front fender reinforce its classic street-bike proportions. Black fork gaiters add a muscular touch that enhances its stance.

From the side, the compact nature of the Hunter is even more apparent. The teardrop fuel tank features bold new graphics and flows seamlessly into a simple, single-piece seat. The short exhaust and stubby tail section emphasize its lightweight and agile character.

Spoke wheels are no longer available; instead, the bike comes standard with alloy wheels and blacked-out engine components. These modern elements blend well with the classic Royal Enfield silhouette, creating a clean and purposeful overall look.

The rear section of the bike is well-structured and cohesive. It features minimalist halogen indicators alongside an LED taillight for a clean look. Performance

The Royal Enfield Hunter 350 is powered by a 349cc single-cylinder, Air-cooled SOHC EFI engine. It produces 20.48 PS at 6100 rpm and 27 Nm of torque at 4000 rpm. The engine is paired with a 5-speed gearbox, which now benefits from an assisted slipper clutch for easier clutch pulls and smoother downshifts. The fuel tank capacity remains unchanged at 13 liters.

Except for the addition of the slipper clutch, there are no mechanical changes to the engine. It continues to use the same J-Series powertrain found in the Meteor 350 and Classic 350.

What sets the Hunter apart is its unique chassis setup. The revised rake angle and altered center of gravity give it a riding stance and handling character that feel noticeably different from its siblings. The shorter wheelbase, lighter kerb weight, and tighter geometry make the Hunter 350 far more agile, giving it a roadster-like responsiveness that quickly becomes its defining trait.

Additional Details

A 41mm Telescopic fork and 6-step preload-adjustable Twin-tube Shock Absorbers handle suspension duties. While the hardware remains unchanged, Royal Enfield has revised the cushioning on the seat and replaced the previous linear spring in the rear suspension with a progressive one. As a result, the Hunter now feels slightly softer and absorbs bumps more effectively than before.

The motorcycle measures 2055mm in length, 800mm in width, and 1055mm in height, with a wheelbase of 1370mm. The overall dimensions remain the same, but ground clearance has improved, now 160mm instead of 150mm, thanks to a rerouted exhaust layout.

Due to these updates, the kerb weight has increased by 4 kg, bringing it to 181 kg.
