Royal Enfield Hunter 350 has officially launched in India.

After months of speculations and spy shots, the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 makes its official entry into the market. It is the third RE motorcycle to include the new J-Series engine.

However, the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 is quite different.

It will be an affordable roadster packed into a fun and stylish machine.

While there will be familiar elements from the Meteor, the Hunter 350 has been designed from the ground up.

Interestingly enough, the overall pricing will be less than the outgoing Meteor and Classic.

The ex-showroom price in India starts at INRs. 1.49 Lakhs.

We will discuss its price in Nepal in a bit.

Royal Enfield Hunter 350 will be the most affordable BS6-compliant RE in Nepal as well.

Design

Royal Enfield Hunter 350 gets a complete roadster treatment. It is a beautiful mix of retro aesthetics and modern technology.

The front section gets a circular Halogen Headlamp with circular Halogen Indicators.

It gets the Fork Gaiters that cover up the front Telescopic suspension.

Interestingly enough, the Hunter comes with 17-inch tyres. With this, the overall dimensions have changed a bit.

The wheelbase is a bit shorter than before.

The side profile is one of the aesthetically pleasing parts of the motorcycle. Moreover, the tank profile and seats are well thought out and well placed.

Both the front and rear mudguards are made up of plastic.

While it works as a weight-saving measure, it does bring down the premium appeal expected from a Royal Enfield motorcycle.

Moreover, the rear profile gets the circular Tail Lamp.

Depending on the variant, there is a slight difference in the light setup.

Additionally, the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 comes in eight different colors: Black and Silver in the Retro variant and White, Ash, Gray, Black, Blue, and Red in the Metro variant.

Performance

Royal Enfield Hunter is powered by the new 349cc, Single-Cylinder, Air-Cooled, SOHC, EFI engine. It can generate a max power of 20.48PS at 6100rpm and a max torque of 27Nm at 4000rpm.

Moreover, it is mated to a 5-speed gearbox with a 13-liter fuel tank.

This is the same engine as seen in the Meteor 350. However, the riding stance and quality will be completely different.

Royal Enfield has revised the rake angle and center of gravity for agility.

The roadster becomes super maneuverable thanks to its shorter wheelbase, lighter weight, and tiger geometry.

Additional Details

41mm Telescopic fork and 6-Step Adjustable Twin Tube Shock Absorbers handle the suspension duties.

The dimensions are 2055mm in length, 800mm in width, and 1055mm in height. Moreover, the wheelbase sits at 1370mm.

Royal Enfield Hunter gets a 150mm ground clearance. And, the kerb weight is 177kg.

Metro vs Retro: Variant Differences Explained

Royal Enfield Hunter is available in two different variants: Retro and Metro. Apart from the rhyming name tags, there are major visual differences between the two.

Hunter Retro is the base variant.

It is available in single-tone colors, a smaller instrument meter, simple switch buttons, and a tubular grab rail. Moreover, it gets a complete halogen setup with square-shaped indicators.

Additionally, Retro gets Spoke Wheels with 120/80 section rear tyre. And, there is only a Front Disc option with a Single-Channel ABS.

On the other hand, the Metro is the top variant.

It is available in dual tone colors, a larger instrument meter, circular switch buttons, and a split grab rail. Moreover, it includes a LED tail lamp with circular indicators.

It is still too early to predict the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 price in Nepal.

Nevertheless, it is expected to launch in the Nepali market.

Unfortunately, the Royal Enfield Nepal hasn’t revealed any details regarding this.

However, there are plans to introduce the Royal Enfield Classic this year in Nepal. Moreover, the company will likely follow that up with Scram 411 or Hunter 350.

As for the pricing strategy, it should sit below the Royal Enfield Classic.

Hence, the price range will be clearer as soon as Classic launches in Nepal. The plans for such a launch are being delayed due to the recent ban on luxury items.

Royal Enfield Nepal should make a move as soon as the ban is lifted.
