Design

Redmi 9 Prime is exactly the same as the Redmi 9. It has a quad camera on the back along with a fingerprint sensor. The camera module is inside of a unique circular design that looks quite good.

The back is made up of plastic and the frame is plastic too. And, it has an anti-fingerprint texture on the back. It comes in 4 colors: Matte Black, Mint Green, Space Blue, and Sunrise Flare.

On the front, it has a dot drop notch with minimal bezels and a thin chin.

Display

Redmi 9 Prime has a 6.53 inch IPS LCD display with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels.

The screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 3 and Xiaomi claims max brightness of 400 nits.

Redmi 9 Prime uses the new Mediatek Helio G80 chipset. It’s a 12nm chipset with Octa-core (2×2.0 GHz Cortex-A75 & 6×1.8 GHz Cortex-A55) CPU and Mali-G52 MC2 GPU. Then, it has 4GB RAM/128GB ROM and 64GB ROM/4GB RAM memory configuration.

Furthermore, it runs on MIUI 11 on top of Android 10. And, it has a 3.5mm headphone jack as well.
