Infinix Hot 70 Quietly Launches in Nepal With Interesting Limited-Time Offer

HIGHLIGHTS

  • The Infinix Hot 70 price in Nepal starts from Rs. 29,999 for the 6/128GB variant.
  • The phone features the new One-Tap AI button, similar to those on the Note series
  • It’s powered by the MediaTek Helio G100 Ultimate SoC and a 6,000mAh battery.

The Hot series from Infinix has always been one of the more fun and exciting lineups the brand offers, with great displays, unique designs, and solid value for money. But then again, that is true for most Infinix phones. This year, Infinix has kicked off the Hot series in 2026 with the Infinix Hot 70.

The Infinix Hot 70 had its global debut on May 25 and has since quietly made its way to Nepal — and I do mean quietly. There is no mention of the launch on Infinix Nepal’s official socials, which is a shame, because the offer they are running is actually pretty great.

Before the Hot 70 had its global debut, I predicted that the base model would likely not make it to Nepal. And honestly, the history backed that up. Ever since Infinix brought the Hot 12 back in 2022, the base Hot model has not made it here.

What we have been getting instead are the i, Pro, and Pro+ variants, with the “i” sitting at the bottom and the Pro+ at the top of the lineup.

This year, I expected Infinix to follow the same pattern. But I was wrong. And not only is the launch offer interesting, but the specs are also worth a look. Let’s see why.

Infinix Hot 70 Overview

Starting with the design, the Hot 70 looks very different from the rest of the Hot phones we have gotten in past years. It still has a vertical camera module, but it is now enclosed instead of having three separate cutouts, as we have seen since the Hot 50 series.

There’s an Active Halo light around the camera cutout that acts as a status bar with custom lighting effects for notifications, charging, and gaming—and it actually looks really cool.

The camera housing also features a thick border that matches the flat frame accent, and honestly, the new design looks a lot more pleasing and futuristic compared to what came before.

Being a budget series, it features a complete plastic body, a plastic back, and a plastic frame. Speaking of the frame, there is a new One-Tap AI button, similar to what we have seen on Infinix phones like the Note 60 series. Since it is also advertised as a One-Tap, you can likely customize it to your liking as well.

The Infinix Hot 70 is available in four color options: Night Pulse, Thermo Orange, Silver Dancer, and Dive Blue. Notably, the Thermo Orange variant features a color-changing rear panel that appears to react to temperature changes, a fun and unique touch for a budget phone.

To the front, there is a big 6.78-inch IPS LCD panel with HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, the same setup as the Hot 60. It may seem like a downgrade compared to the 1.5K AMOLED on the Hot 60 Pro series, but this is the base Hot model, so no complaints there.

Worth mentioning here, the Hot 70 also comes with NFC, which is a genuinely impressive addition and something most budget phones still do not offer.

But where I do have a complaint is with the performance department. The Hot 70 features the Helio G100 Ultimate, a very capable chip found on popular phones like the Samsung Galaxy A07 and Infinix’s own Hot 60 Pro series. However, it is actually a downgrade from the Hot 60, which ran the Dimensity 7020, a 5G chipset. Dropping back to 4G here is quite unexpected and a bit disappointing.

As for memory, the phone ships with 6GB or 8GB of RAM paired with 128GB of storage. A dedicated microSD card slot is included for expansion, which helps soften the blow.

The camera remains unchanged, the same single 50MP main shooter and 8MP selfie setup as the Hot 60 series. Nothing new, but nothing broken either.

On the battery front, 6,000mAh is quickly becoming the new norm, and the Hot 70 follows suit. The charging gets a notable upgrade to 45W, which, compared to the Hot 60 Pro series, may not seem dramatic, but compared to the Hot 60’s 18W, the difference is massive.

Lastly, the phone ships with Android 16 with XOS 16 on top. Based on what Infinix has done before, the Hot 70 will likely come with 3 major OS updates.

Infinix has built a solid track record when it comes to offering strong value-for-money devices. And for the most part, you can pick up an Infinix smartphone without thinking twice and still walk away with a great deal.

But the Hot 70 does not quite feel like it belongs in that category. Do not get me wrong, the design is clean and minimalistic. But Rs. 30,000 for an HD+ screen and a 4G chip is a tough sell in 2026.

It may be the price hike clouding my judgment, but the processor also feels like a downgrade from the previous Hot series. And that concern only grows when you consider that phones like the Galaxy A07 offer similar specs for significantly less.
