Realme has finally launched its flagship smartphone, the Realme GT 2 Pro, in Nepal. The smartphone was first introduced in China in January 2022.

The Realme GT 2 Pro price in Nepal is Rs. 1,09,999 (12/256GB). It is available at Realme authorized stores across Nepal or online at Daraz.

After almost six months of its announcement, the phone finally came to Nepal. It is the successor of last year’s Realme GT, which, unfortunately, did not launch in Nepal.

Design

Realme has again collaborated with Naoto Fukasawa, the world-renowned Japanese industrial designer, to design the Realme GT 2 Pro. The GT 2 Pro has a paper-like back made of bio-polymer material.

The material is the first bio-based polycarbonate (PC) copolymer introduced by SABIC, a global leader in the chemical industry. The material also secured International Sustainability and Carbon Certification Plus (ISCC+).

Realme says that it has reduced the carbon footprint by 35.5%. This material is only available in Paper White and Paper Green colour option. These two colour options also have the signature of Naoto Fukasawa near the rectangular rear camera bump.

If you want a clean look and a glass back, you can go with the Steel Black options. The Steel Black is 10g heavier though at 199g.

Display

The GT 2 Pro features a 6.7-inch 2K AMOLED display with LTPO 2.0 technology. The LTPO 2.0 technology allows it to support refresh rates from 1Hz to 120Hz.

The 10-bit panel supports HDR10+ and can reach 1400 nits of peak brightness. Moreover, there is a punch-hole cutout in the top left corner. For protection, the screen is topped with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.

Hardware

Under the hood, the Realme GT 2 Pro is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. It is Qualcomm’s flagship chipset of 2022, built on a 4nm process technology.

The SoC has a single powerful Arm Cortex-X2 flagship-core running at up to 3.0GHz, three performance and efficiency balanced Arm Cortex-A710 big-cores running at up to 2.5GHz, and four power-efficient Arm Cortex-A510 little-cores running at up to 1.8GHz.

Qualcomm claims the new Adreno 730 GPU in the chipset can boost graphics rendering capabilities by 30% and power savings by 25% compared to the previous generation.

According to Realme, the Relame GT 2 Pro includes a 36761 sq. mm. cooling area to cool down the processor. It is the Industry’s largest heat dissipation area. The cooling area is constructed using the all-new 9-layer cooling structure with a 4129 sq. mm. Stainless Steel VC area.

The phone comes with 8/12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128/256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The device has an X-axis linear vibration motor, jointly developed by Realme and AAC Technologies Holdings Inc. Furthermore, it has a stereo speaker setup with Dolby Atmos support.

Camera

It has a triple-camera setup on the back comprising a 50MP Sony IMX766 primary camera with OIS, a 50MP Samsung JN1 ultrawide camera with 150-degree FOV, and a 3MP 40X micro-lens.

The front has a 32MP IMX615 selfie camera with an f/2.4 aperture lens. The phone can record up to 8K video at 24fps.

Battery and OS

Fueling the GT 2 Pro is a 5000mAh battery, which supports 65W fast charging. Realme claims that the provided charger can fully charge the device from 0% in just 33 minutes.

In terms of software, it runs on Realme UI 3.0 out of the box based on Android 12.
