The Realme 15T succeeds the Realme 14T, a phone that failed to impress us a few months ago. Apart from its 6000mAh battery and fully stacked IP66/68/69 rating, the 14T lacked standout features and came with a relatively high price tag.

While the key features are familiar, the 15T introduces several meaningful upgrades. But are they enough to make a difference? Let’s take a closer look.

Realme 15T Overview

The Realme 15T sports a refreshed design that looks more refined compared to its predecessor. The new iPhone 16 Pro-like camera module gives it a mature look, and the camera bump is impressively thin at just 1.57mm.

The phone features a textured matte plastic back with a satin-like finish, measuring 7.79mm thick and weighing 181g. The excellent IP66/68/69 rating from the 14T makes a return, and it comes in three finishes: Silk Blue, Suit Titanium, and Flowing Silver.

The biggest improvement comes in the display department. The Realme 15T now features a 6.57-inch AMOLED panel with 1.07 billion colors, 1400 nits HBM brightness, 120Hz refresh rate, and a 4000 nits peak brightness. The touch sampling rate has also increased to 240Hz for better responsiveness.

Not everything has gone up; the screen size has gone down from 6.67 inches to 6.57 inches. However, it boasts a better screen-to-body ratio at 93%, all thanks to trimmed bezels and a larger rounded-corner radius.

On paper, the 15T might look better with the new Dimensity 6400 Max 5G chipset, but it is only a modest improvement over the Dimensity 6300 found in the 14T.

The phone comes in multiple configurations: 8GB RAM + 256GB of internal storage and 12GB RAM + 512GB of internal storage.

The 15T retains the same 50MP main sensor as the 14T, though Realme hasn’t mentioned OIS support this time. The secondary rear lens is a 2MP B&W sensor, while the front camera has been upgraded to 50MP, which should deliver sharper selfies.

One of the most impressive upgrades is the 7000mAh battery, remarkable for a phone that’s only 7.79mm thin. Charging has also improved, now supporting 60W wired charging and bypass charging, making it one of the best battery phones in this range.

As for the software, it’s refreshing to see Realme offer 3 Android OS upgrades and 4 years of security updates. It ships with Android 15 out of the box with realme UI 6.0, which means it is sure to get Android 18. It would have been even better if the phone came with Android 16 out of the box. Nonetheless, this is still a notable improvement in Realme’s update policy.

The Realme 15T does introduce some meaningful upgrades this year, like a refreshed display, a new 50MP selfie camera, a bigger battery, and extended software support. These improvements definitely add value.

However, the chipset enhancement is barely noticeable, and the rear cameras are essentially unchanged, which holds the overall upgrade back. So despite the improvements, the Realme 15T still ends up feeling a bit underwhelming in the grand scheme of things.
