Gaming-Centric Phone Realme 14 Launched in Nepal!

HIGHLIGHTS

  • The realme 14 price in Nepal is Rs. 49,999 (12/256GB).
  • It is the world’s first phone with the Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 processor.
  • This phone comes with a 6,050mm² vapour chamber and a bypass charging feature.

The realme 14 5G made its debut in parts of Southeast Asia in March, and it has now also arrived in Nepal alongside its toned-down variant, realme 14T.

Both phones launched on 13 June 2025 — and honestly, what a missed opportunity to drop the realme “14” series on the 14th. But it is what it is…

realme has made it very obvious to whom it wants to market this phone to. The loud partnership with Mobile Legends in Southeast Asian countries, a large vapour chamber, bypass charging feature, and one of the options having a gaming phone aesthetic makes it very clear that it is a phone for gamers.

Let’s get into further detail on what the realme 14 has to offer:

Realme 14 Overview

Design

The realme 14 does not have an out-of-the-ordinary design or anything, specifically the Storm Titanium and Warrior Pink ones. However, the same cannot be said for the Mecha Silver option.

It has a gaming phone vibe going for it, with a metallic-looking pattern going through the back panel. There is a bit of orange accent on the back, and the power button on this one is orange too. All in all, it is the most eye-catching one among the three.

The phone has an extra light integrated into the camera island, which they are dubbing “Victory Halo Light”. It apparently “illuminates upon match-winning kills, creating immersive victory celebrations”.

First of all, does this mean the phone understands what is happening in the game? And second, the light is at the back — meaning, I wouldn’t be able to see it light up anyway. So, what’s even the point? It’s looks cool, I guess.

Other than that, the realme 14 comes with IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings — similar to the realme C75 that recently received a price drop.

Display

On the front, the phone sports a 120Hz AMOLED “Esports” Display. There is nothing particularly esports-y about this display; realme is just doubling down on the gamer-centric marketing.

It is just a regular AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. Other aspects of this display include a peak brightness of up to 2,000 nits, FHD+ resolution, colour depth of 16.7 million, and a touch sampling rate of 180Hz. The instant touch sampling rate is a lot higher at 1,500Hz, though. But this metric isn’t unheard of either.

Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 — For the first time!

The realme 14 gets the new Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 from Qualcomm. This processor is the successor to the 6 Gen 3, which powers the popular Samsung Galaxy A36 — one of its major competitors in this price range.

In fact, this is the first phone in the world to have this silicon and will be the first one in Nepal too.

The 6 Gen 4 brings quite a few changes to its predecessor, including newer Cortex-A720 and A520 cores, better architecture, and an updated GPU. All this translates to increased performance prowess.

realme is marketing AnTuTu scores of over 760,000, while other online sources cite a score of 754,915 from the new Qualcomm chipset. All in all, we can expect up to 20% better scores from the latest chipset compared to the 6 Gen 3, which is good to know.

Additionally, the company is marketing 120FPS gaming support for mainstream games on the realme 14. Hopefully, it’s for something like PUBG and not just some mainstream, but random game like Hill Climb Racing. I mean, HCR is a fun game and all, but it isn’t what you picture in the same sentence as eSports.

Other Hardware

Apart from the freshly baked 6 Gen 4, the phone ships with up to 12GB of RAM and has a single storage option of 256GB. Furthermore, we will be able to expand the RAM dynamically by 14GB and also expand the storage via a microSD card.

This phone has a hybrid slot, so it will come at the expense of dual SIM functionality. And we don’t have any words on the maximum storage expansion support either.

The realme 14 packs a vapour chamber with 6,050mm² heat dissipation area, which will help keep things cool when battle gets hot during games.

The battery on this phone is a chunky 6,000mAh. Even though realme is dubbing it as Titan Battery”, similar to how other companies market the use of silicon-carbon battery, this one does not seem to be one.

This is because the company hasn’t outright mentioned it, and the 782Wh/L energy density isn’t out of the realm for traditional lithium-ion cells either. In the meantime, other sources say it is silicon-carbon. It’s a bit up in the air!

Regardless of whatever kind of battery it is, it’s still a 6,000mAh unit and that is absolutely massive!

Charging-wise, we are getting an okay 45W of speed. What’s cool is the inclusion of bypass charging — a feature that will redirect power directly to the system instead of the battery when you plug in the charger while gaming.

Camera and OS

It’s pretty well-established by now that phones focusing on gaming tend to side-line imaging capabilities, and the realme 14 isn’t all that different. We only get a single snapper on the back, which is a 50MP unit and is capable of OIS. Meanwhile, the front is handled by a 16MP shooter.

The phone boots on Android 15 with the realme UI 6.0 skin on top. realme drops the mandatory “AI” namedrop here and there, but I did not find it particularly noteworthy.

Realme 14 Price in Nepal and Availability

The realme 14 price in Nepal is Rs. 49,999 for the sole 12/256GB variant. The phone launched on 13 June 2025 and is available to purchase at stores across the nation.

realme 14 is a solid midrange option with the upgraded SD 6 Gen 4 chipset, a massive 6,000mAh battery, and such. The camera sounds kind of meh, but other than that the specs are pretty good. It’s success heavily depended on how realme would decide to price it and they have done an okay job.

It is still little over what I would have liked, but it isn’t high enough to dismiss it entirely.
