Poco F3 GT Overview

Design

Poco F3 GT is a game-centric smartphone, therefore, it has gaming aesthetic to it. At the same time, it has a premium feel with a glass and aluminum finish.

On top of that, there are other small details that add up to its gaming aesthetic such as a lightning-shaped flashlight, unique speaker cut-out, and of course the Maglev trigger buttons. It is available in both color options: Predator Black & Gunmetal Silver in Nepal.

This is the first Poco phone to feature trigger buttons. And, there is a Tactical RGB Glow around the rear camera that lights up when you get a notification or when charging.

Both the front and back panel is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 5. And, it also has an IP53 certification for dust and splash protection.

Display

Poco F3 GT has a 6.67 inches Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. And, Poco is calling this a Turbo AMOLED display meaning the touch sampling rate of the display can reach up to 480Hz.

The display of the Poco F3 GT can cover 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut. Not only that, the display here is a 10-bit panel meaning the display can show 1024 possible tones for each of the red, green, and blue colors, i.e. over 1.07 billion colors.

In addition, it also supports HDR 10+ and DC Dimming. DC Dimming reduces the flickering of the display we usually see in AMOLED panels at really low brightness.

Inside the Poco F3 GT, we get MediaTek’s flagship SoC, the Dimensity 1200. This chipset is built on a 6nm process and has four Arm Cortex-A78 cores and four Arm Cortex-A55 cores. The phone is also 5G enabled.

Poco F3 GT comes with Dual-Channel UFS 3.1 storage up to 256GB paired with up to 8GB of RAM.

To transfer the heat generated by the CPU and to keep the device cool, it comes with an 11,540mm² vapor chamber and white graphene heat sink.

Camera

There are three rear cameras at the back comprising a 64MP main camera, an 8MP Ultra-Wide camera, and a 2MP Macro camera.

On the front, you get a 16MP front camera.

Battery and Others

The Poco F3 GT has a 5,065mAh battery and it supports 67W USB-PD fast charging. Poco claims that the provided charger can take the phone’s battery from 0% to 50% in just 15 minutes.

It runs on MIUI 12.5 on top of Android 11. There is no headphone jack in the phone though. Other features include Dual stereo speakers, Triple Mic and Triple Wi-Fi.

The Poco F3 GT is a beast of a phone and checks all the boxes a gamer or heavy user would need. Gamers will appreciate the L-shaped fast charger, maglev triggers, and gaming aesthetics.
