Design

The MSI Modern 14 boasts a slim and lightweight design, measuring just 16.9mm thickness and weighing just 1.3kg. The bottom of the laptop is designed to rise from the surface when you open it, providing a better keyboard angle and greater airflow for cooling.

It has a white backlit black keyboard. For the ports, it has a full-sized HDMI port, a USB Type-C port, two USB Type-A ports, a micro SD card slot, and a combo audio jack.

Display

The device has a 14-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080.

It’s a 16:9 aspect ratio and has a maximum brightness of around 350 nits.

The MSI Modern 14 B10MW model comes with 10th gen Intel processors. Currently, only the base variant with Intel i3-10110U CPU is available, which has 2 cores and 4 threads.

The laptop lacks a dedicated GPU, instead relies on the integrated Intel UHD graphics. For the memory, it comes with 8GB of DDR4-2666 RAM installed, which can be upgraded up to 32GB.

MSI Modern 14 is designed for light users whose work does not require a lot of CPU or GPU power. It’s a lightweight and slim laptop that’s ideal for students or business people.

Although It’s well-built and has a good battery life, the dual-core Intel i3 processor is not enough in 2021. The same laptop with an AMD Ryzen 4000 series chip outperforms 10th Gen Intel-powered laptops by a significant margin.
