Lenovo Laptops Price in Nepal

Lenovo is a name that has been surely heard by anyone who has ever used a laptop. This company was first founded in 1984 in Beijing with the name Legend. Lenovo acquired IBM’s personal computer lineup (the ThinkPad brand) in 2005 to become the No.1 PC maker in the world. Now, it operates in more than 60 countries and sells its product in around 160 countries.

So, you get the idea that Lenovo is a big brand and trustworthy. What Lenovo is mostly known for is its business-focused laptops which are rugged, and have some of the best keyboards on any laptop on the market. Those laptops fall on the Thinkpad range. They are also one of the first companies to introduce a foldable convertible PC to the consumer market which has now become a major staple in Lenovo’s lineup of laptops. These convertible laptops fall in the Yoga Range of Lenovo. Lenovo also has some other series, one of the more popular ones among them is the Ideapad series which includes laptops made with the mainstream consumers in mind. So they have bolder designs than the ThinkPad range. And the Y series contains the gaming laptops from Lenovo.

Megatech group is the authorized distributor of Lenovo laptops in Nepal and they have brought in laptops from all the series discussed above. The price of Lenovo laptops in Nepal ranges from Rs. 36,000 to Rs. 1,33,000. So there is a lot to choose from here. And the more options we get, the more confused we get. So we have compiled a list of Lenovo laptops price in Nepal that are currently on sale.

Lenovo Ideapad 130 14″

Lenovo Ideapad 130 14″ packs an 8th Gen Core i5 processor which is perfect for everyday tasks like web browsing and word processing. But the RAM inside them is just 4GB. 4GB will give you a headache with multitasking. You may be able to live with it but I would suggest you buy a laptop with at least 8GB RAM in 2019.

Even worse part is the traditional mechanical hard drive. SSDs are getting cheaper and they are much faster and reliable than HDD. So, people, always ask the seller if you can get a laptop with an SSD. It makes such a huge difference in performance and speed of your laptop that you will have to use it to believe it. One good thing about this laptop is the Full HD LCD screen.

Lenovo Ideapad 130 15.6″

Lenovo Ideapad 130 15″ packs an 8th Gen Core i5 processor which is perfect for everyday tasks like web browsing and word processing. But the RAM inside them is just 4GB. 4GB will give you a headache with multitasking. You may be able to live with it but I would suggest you buy a laptop with at least 8GB RAM in 2019. This laptop doesn’t even have the FHD screen of the 14″ Ideapad 130.

Lenovo Y700

Lenovo Y700 was launched in December 2015. So this hardware is a little old. But as it was plenty powerful when it launched it still has the guts to play the latest titles though with slower frame rates at low or medium settings. We would have loved to see a 16GB RAM on this laptop but 8GB is plenty enough for most people.

What is not acceptable is the lack of an SSD on a laptop that costs over 1 lakh. If you are planning on buying a laptop for gaming purpose then Acer’s latest Predator models are a far better value than the Lenovo Y700. And if you want a Lenovo, look at the Lenovo Y520. We don’t recommend buying this laptop for the given price.

Lenovo Y700 Key Specifications

  • Display: 15.6″ FHD (1920 x 1080) IPS LCD

Lenovo Y520

Lenovo Y520 is a gaming laptop for the masses. It has got a 7th gen Intel Core i7 HQ processor and a 4GB NVIDIA GTX 1050Ti Graphics card inside. So it can play demanding games like Witcher at playable frames on medium settings, and other less demanding titles like PUBG and FIFA with high frame rates at medium settings. Productivity tasks like Photoshop and Lightroom including editing videos on Premiere Pro won’t be a problem either.

We would have loved to see it come with 16GB preloaded, but 8GB RAM is not so bad. Also, this laptop includes an SSD, which is much faster than traditional Hard Drive, for faster Windows bootups. And if you want your games or software to load faster, store them in the SSD rather than HDD for faster loading times.

Lenovo Y520 Key Specifications

  • Display: 15.6″ FHD (1920 x 1080) IPS LCD
  • CPU: 7th Generation Intel Core i7-7700HQ

Lenovo Yoga 510 (i3)

It’s not cool to see a laptop that costs Rs. 70,000 that has only an HD screen. Full HD is the norm nowadays. And what ‘s up with only an i3 processor on a laptop with a graphics card? And 4GB RAM. Come on. We don’t know who this laptop is made for. If it was made for gaming, it should have had far better specs. And if it is geared towards normal consumers, it is bulky for a 14 inch and the battery is not that long lasting. So, it is better if you look elsewhere to find your fit.

And people, please avoid buying a laptop without an SSD. Most of us do not use the 1TB HDD space available. And an SSD improves the performance by speeding the laptop by a huge margin. So, look for an SSD.

Lenovo Yoga 510 (i3) Key Specifications

  • Display: 14.0″ HD (1366×768)

Pros Cons

Lenovo Yoga 510 (i5)

This price is seriously an overkill for a laptop that boasts just 4GB of RAM. However, it is great that the Yoga 510 has a Full HD screen, and a 7th gen Intel Core i5 processor. The latest Intel processors are 8th gen but not many laptops in Nepal have it. So 7th gen is a good proposition too. You get your usual 1 TB HDD and an average battery. We would have loved to see an SSD but you are just getting an HDD.

Performance on this laptop would be good enough for most people but why spend more than a lakh to get a good enough performance. Nowadays, 4GB of RAM is just not enough for anything and I have already talked about the HDD. You may find other laptops better suited for your needs than the Yoga 510 on this list or on our other laptops price lists.

Lenovo Yoga 510 (i5) Key Specifications

  • Display: 14 inch HD Touch-360° Rotate Display (1920 x 1080)

Lenovo Yoga 510 Price in Nepal: Rs. 104,000

Pros Cons
Convertible design 4GB RAM

Lenovo Yoga 520

Now, this is a near-good laptop. I will give it a B. The price is still not desirable for a laptop with a traditional hard drive. Because everything you do would be slow if your hard drive is slow. However, 8th gen Intel Core i7 processor makes the pricing much less bad had the processor been of the previous generation. The Full HD screen is also appreciated and you finally get an 8GB of RAM. These are improvements over the Yoga 510.

What you should understand with the Yoga range is you are paying a premium for its 360 design. If you absolutely need your laptop to be an Olympian acrobat, you will have to pay for it. However, if you don’t care about all those modes you could lay your laptop on look at the Ideapad range from Lenovo which offer a better value for most people.

Lenovo Yoga 520 Key Specifications

Lenovo Ideapad 710s

The Lenovo Ideapad 710s is a great ultraportable laptop. It is a good all-around no-nonsense laptop. It has a full Hd Anti Glare screen, a 7th gen Intel Core i7 processor, and 8GB of RAM. Yay, you get an SSD too. It is all one could ask from a laptop in 2018.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

However, the price may be too high for some. But this price is to be expected for a laptop with these specs. Something I would have liked to improve upon this laptop is swapping an 8th gen Intel Core processor instead of a 7th gen one but 7th gen processor is a good performer too. If you don’t play many games and want a stylish and light ultraportable that won’t break a sweat with 15 open Chrome tabs, Lenovo Ideapad 710s is the laptop to buy.

Lenovo Ideapad 710s Key Specifications

  • Display: 13.3″FHD IPS AntiGlare LED Backlight 1920×1080

Lenovo Ideapad 710s Price in Nepal: Rs. 133,000

Pros Cons
Sleek design Average battery life
Light and portable Pricey
Powerful for an ultrabook

Lenovo Ideapad 520s

This is a decent laptop for the price. A full HD screen and an 8th generation Intel Core i5 processor are the highlights of the laptop. But this laptop has a traditional 5400rpm Hard Drive that doesn’t make it the best deal out there.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

The likes of Acer Spin 5, which have 7th gen intel core i5, a Full HD screen, 8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD retails for around Rs. 63,000. So, this laptop isn’t the best one available for the price. But disregarding the SSD (why would you do that?), it’s an ok deal.

Lenovo Ideapad 520s Key Specifications

  • Display: 14.0″FHD IPS LED Backlight AntiGlare 1920×1080
  • CPU: Intel Core i5-8250U Processor ( 1.60GHz 2400MHz 6MB )
  • GPU: Intel Integrated Graphics/ NVIDIA GeForce 940MX(2GB)
  • RAM: 8GB DDR4
  • Storage: 1TB 5400 rpm

  • Battery: 3 Cell Li-Polymer, Up to 12 hours (MobileMark)
  • Weight: 1.7 Kg
  • Dimensions: 327.4×236.5×19.3 mm

Lenovo Ideapad 520s Price in Nepal: Rs. 84,000/ Rs. 96,000 (with NVIDIA graphics)

Pros Cons
FHD screen No SSD
8th gen Intel processor Heavy for a 14inch laptop

Lenovo Miix-510

You are paying for the form in the case of Miix-510. It’s a Microsoft surface Pro – like product for a lower price. You can detach the keyboard from the laptop and use the Miix-510 as a tablet. The insides also look good on paper. A 6th gen intel core i5 processor coupled with a 4GB RAM means you won’t have the power to edit videos or play games in your hand but it would be plenty powerful for web browsing and casual video-watching. It would also be speedy than laptops with i7 processors because of the included SSD.

One other useful feature in this laptop is inking: you can highlight and even write on your documents if you have an active pen supported by Lenovo. Or you could use your hand, the screen is a touchscreen after all. That is the convenience of this form factor. Whether this laptop-tablet hybrid justifies its price or not totally depends upon your needs.

Lenovo Miix-510 Key Specifications

  • Display: 12.2″FHD+ IPS LED MultiTouch 1920×1200
  • CPU: Intel Core i5-6200U Processor ( 2.30GHz 2133MHz 3MB )

Lenovo V110

Lenovo V110 is a good laptop. But the pricing is way off. You can get a Dell 3576 with an 8th gen core i5 processor, a full HD15.6 inch screen, and 2GB of dedicated graphics for the price of Rs. 63500. Naturally, the Dell 3576 has a better performance and better value. So don’t buy the V110. Look at other laptops like the Dell 3576 instead.

Lenovo Ideapad 320

There are various configurations of the Lenovo Ideapad 320 and it could get difficult to choose one. So, below is the table of all the available models of Ideapad 320 in Nepal.

The best model above and the one that gives you the best bang for your buck is the highest end model with a full-HD screen. But we hate to see that it too doesn’t have an SSD. For other models, paying over 60,000 for a laptop with no Full HD screen is not worth it. Also, we recommend against buying any laptop with less than 8GB RAM. But if you are low on cash, the Rs 52000 version is a good enough laptop if you don’t mind a little slower performance.

Pros Cons
lower end model has a matching price laptops between the lower end and the higher end not worth buying
High-end model is a great value Only the high-end model has a full HD screen
No SSD

Lenovo Ideapad 320s

The Ideapad 320s offers a Full HD screen at around Rs. 60,000 which is better than some of the Lenovo laptops that cost more. Also, the processors are of the 7th generation. So you won’t have to suffer on performance either. But the RAM is just 4GB which would make multitasking strenuous to the laptop. You’ll have to close all the excess tabs in Chrome.

The Ideapad 320s has a traditional HDD even though we would have loved to see an SSD on this machine. Some laptops from Acer have that option even at this price. Other than this huge caveat, the Ideapad 320s is a decent deal.

Lenovo Ideapad 320s Key Specifications

  • Display: 14 inches 1920*1080 Full HD IPS LCD Anti-Glare display

Lenovo Ideapad 110

Hmm. An all-AMD laptop. The specs are good enough if you don’t want a speed demon. But we don’t recommend you to buy a laptop without a Full HD screen. Also, the 4GB RAM might struggle while multitasking. I didn’t expect an SSD at this price so I am skipping ranting about it here. This is a laptop with decent value.

But laptops from Acer like the Acer spin 5 offer an SSD, 8GB RAM, a 7th gen Intel Core i5 and a full HD screen for around 62,000. So, if you have some more cash, that might be a better deal. What we would say is shop around; you may find a far better offer for Rs. 56,500.

Lenovo Ideapad 110CDC

Don’t buy a laptop with a Celeron processor because you’ll regret it in the future. They are entry level processors from Intel which are used to power laptops with low-level performance. You can forget about opening multiple tabs in chrome unless you want to see your scrolls stutter. Combine the poor-performing computer with a traditional hard drive and you will find yourself waiting a minute for your OS to load. So look elsewhere for your new laptop.

Lenovo Ideapad 110s

How do you feel about an 11.6-inch laptop? For some, they offer the ultimate portability, but for some, they are too small to do anything on a laptop. Well if you fall on the former category then the Ideapad 110s might just be right for you. But bear in mind that this laptop doesn’t want to be your daily driver. It is evident in the specs that this laptop has been fitted with.

A mediocre Intel chipset combined with just 2GB of RAM. It wants to be a secondary machine which you can carry anywhere and do some work on the go. Or it can be the first laptop for your child. And if that kind of machine is what you are looking for, Lenovo Ideapad 110s is a good buy.

Have your say

This was our list of the Lenovo laptops price in Nepal. As you can see, some of them are good value for money but most of them seem to be overpriced.

My favorite among the bunch is the Ideapad 710s for the best overall performance it provides but I understand it is a little too expensive for most people. But pick your favorite. Do you own any Lenovo laptop? If so what are its attributes that you like best? Has it held up well over the years? Are there any heating issues or screen issues people should be aware of? How do you feel about the pricing of Lenovo laptops in Nepal? Don’t forget to share your thoughts in our comments section below.

    • The price is high for the specification that you’ve mentioned (with 2GB Nvidia Graphics card). It costs around 90,000 in the market.
Model: Lenovo Flex 3 . This laptop is mentioned in the article and it’s available in 1TB HDD also.
But if you roam around the market in Kathmandu, then you can find Lenovo G50 with same specification (but with 2GB AMD graphics card) which costs around NRs 60,000- 65,000.
