MSI Laptops Price in Nepal

MSI is one of the best laptop manufacturers in the world. For they create some of the best gaming laptops; MSI is a gold standard when it comes to laptops. MSI (Micro-Star International) is a Taiwanese multinational IT corporation founded in 1986; since then MSI has been a force to reckoned with in the laptop industry.

There is no factual information on the arrival of MSI in Nepal. Meanwhile, Ocean Computer Pvt. Ltd., the official distributor of MSI laptops in Nepal was established in 1997. Along with laptops, MSI Nepal provides an array of MSI products such as MSI Motherboards, MSI Graphics Cards, MSI Desktop PC, MSI Monitor, and MSI All-In-One.

MSI laptops in Nepal are relatively expensive but the fact that the laptops are 100% genuine is admirable. MSI laptops are on the expensive even in the international market. However, the undoubted performance, reliability, and robustness of its products justify the premium price tag. MSI offers a wide variety of laptops under their Classic Series, Prestige Series, and Gaming Series. And, even within their gaming series, they have laptops with variable budget and respective performance.

So, we have compiled a list of MSI laptops price in Nepal with the intent of providing you a better insight into them. The following list contains all of the available MSI gaming laptops in Nepal. To give you better information about MSI, we also have included the detail of MSI laptops distributor in Nepal.

MSI PS42 8M

MSI PS42 prestige is the first ultrabook from MSI. MSI is known for their gaming laptops but this is their first foray into a thin and light non-gamer centric laptop. MSI PS42 8M looks good enough with its brushed aluminum texture. But it can be seen that MSI didn’t give that much thought into the aesthetics of this laptop when you look at the bottom.

What MSI PS42 lacks in style, it makes up in performance. MSI has learned a lot about cooling in its years as a gaming laptop manufacturer and it shows in this laptop too. The performance of this device is top notch. Combined with the 512GB SSD, this is a serious contender among the ultrabooks available in Nepal. We just wish the trackpad was a touch better. If you like this laptop, watch its full review.

MSI PS42 8M

  • Display: 14″ FHD (1920×1080)

  • GPU: Intel Integrated
  • Hard drive: 512GB SSD
  • Battery: 4-cell 3290mAh battery

MSI PS42 8M Price in Nepal: Rs. 1,33,000

Pros Cons
Powerful Trackpad not that great

MSI PL62 7RC

MSI PL62 is a non-gamer gaming laptop, if that makes sense. It is not a gaming laptop per se but it is pretty powerful and can play titles like DOTA and League of Legends with ease with its MX150 graphics and 7th Gen HQ processor.

However, the PL62 is in a weird spot when it comes to laptops. It is priced at Rs. 117000 which is the price point most good ultrabooks revolve around these days. So, if you don’t do much graphic intensive tasks, then it is better for you to buy an ultrabook that will be lighter, have better battery life, and will have better build quality. If you are someone who needs the power, you’d be better off with a gaming laptop after all.

MSI PL62 7RC

  • Display: 14″ FHD (1920×1080)
  • RAM: 8GB DDR4
  • CPU: 7th Generation Intel Core i7-7700HQ Processor (2.8GHz to 3.8GHz)
  • GPU: GeForce GTX MX150 2GB GDDR5 Graphics

  • Battery: 41.4 Whr Li-ion

MSI PL62 7RC Price in Nepal: Rs. 1,17,000

MSI GL63 8SE (RTX)

I know; MSI needs to fix their naming scheme. But except for a handful of manufacturers like Apple and Microsoft, laptop makers haven’t been known for a legible naming system. Anyway, we are more concerned with what this laptop can do rather than what it’s called.

MSI GL63 8SE is a strong performer, thanks to the 8th Gen coffee lake H series processor which is combined with 6GB of DDR6 GeForce RTX 2060 graphics card. This is one of the most powerful graphics cards in the world right now. You can play any new AAA titles with ease in high settings. The 16GB of RAM means that this laptop is well-suited for content creators too. Sadly, it looks like this laptop won’t feature a 120Hz display. That is a bummer.

MSI GE63 8SE Key Specifications

  • Display: 15.6″ FHD (1920×1080)
  • RAM: 16GB DDR4
  • CPU: 8th Generation Intel Core i7-8750H Processor (2.2GHz to 4.1GHz)
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060, 6 GB GDDR6 VRAM
  • Hard drive: 256GB NVMe SSD + 1TB HDD
  • Battery: 51 Whr Li-ion battery (6-cell)

MSI GE63 8SE Price in Nepal: Rs. 2,12,000

Pros Cons
Powerful Expensive
Not so great Battery life
RTX cards not that useful yet

MSI GE63 Raider RGB 8SF (RTX)

This name of this gaming laptop itself hints to the fact that this laptop supports RGB lighting. But I guess you people won’t pay Rs. 2,92,000 for just that feature. Or will you? Inside, the same 8th gen processor that was inside the GL63 8SE powers this laptop. But it is now paired with the NVIDIA RTX 2070 GPU which is more powerful than 2060 by a significant margin.

Other features of this laptop include a massive 16GB RAM and a 1TB HDD+512GB NVME SSD combination. I applaud MSI for including this massive SSD in their laptop which is necessary for faster boot time. Another cool feature of this laptop is the 144Hz display. This is (as most gamers say) a more important feature than a Graphics upgrade. So keep an eye on these higher refresh rate screens.

MSI GE63 Raider RGB 8SF Key Specifications

  • Display: 15.6″ FHD (1920×1080), 144Hz, 94% NTSC
  • RAM: 16GB DDR4

  • Hard drive: 512GB NVMe SSD + 1TB HDD
  • Battery: 51 Whr Li-ion battery (6-cell)

Pros Cons
Powerful Expensive

MSI GS65 Stealth 8RE Thin (RTX)

The stealth in the name of this laptop is probably a foreshadowing to its thinness. But it has already got a ‘Thin’ on its name already so I don’t know what the hell MSI is trying to say. But who cares. The Stealth 8RE thin has the same processor as the other RTX laptops in this list, i.e. 8th Gen i7 8750H. That’s fine because that is one of the most powerful chipsets that Intel makes for a laptop.

The graphics card is the same 8GB DDR6 RTX 2070 found on the 8SF. So a question may arise in your mind: What causes the price of this laptop to be higher than the 8SF. One reason is that this laptop is sleek and thin. It takes more money to engineer that kind of body. The other reasons are Thunderbolt 3 support, 1TB NVME SSD, and the larger battery.

  • Display: 15.6″ FHD (1920×1080), 144Hz, 94% NTSC
  • RAM: 16GB DDR4

MSI GS63VR Stealth Pro

Gaming in a UHD panel is probably every gamer’s wish. Now you can fulfill it with the MSI GS63VR Stealth Pro. I am going to call it the Stealth Pro 1 from now on. The Stealth Pro 1 comes with beefy hardware expected from gaming laptops. You get a 7th gen Intel Core i7-7700HQ processor (HQ processor are way more powerful and power hungry than the U series processors) combines with 6GB of NVIDIA GTX 1060 Graphics card. You will surely be able to play the latest titles like witcher at playable frame rates.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

The laptops also come with a whopping 512 GB of NVMe SSD combined with a 2TB HDD. That is more than enough to handle most of the games people play at a single time. The SSD ensures that the OS boots up fast and overall loading and switching of apps feel faster. One shortcoming of this laptop, as with any other gaming laptop is the battery life. But if you want a gaming machine powerful enough to do anything yet light enough to carry around, the GS63 Stealth Pro is the laptop for you.

MSI GS63VR Stealth Pro Key Specifications

  • Display: 15.6″ UHD (3840×2160), IPS-Level

MSI GS73VR 7RF Stealth Pro

The MSI GS73VR 7RF Stealth Pro (which I am going to call the Stealth Pro 2) is a similar laptop to the GS63VR. The processor and the GPU are the same. The RAM and Hard drive configuration too are similar. So, you’ll get the same performance from both these devices. Where the differences arise is the display. The display is larger in the Stealth Pro 2 at 17.3 inches but it has a lower full HD resolution. So, whatever the performance, your game won’t look as good on the Stealth Pro 2 as it will on the Stealth Pro 1.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Also, the Stealth Pro 2 is very bulky and heavy compared to the Stealth Pro 1. And with the Price of stealth Pro 1 being only Rs 10,000 more than the Pro 2, we suggest you buy the Stealth Pro 1 over the Pro 2.

MSI GS73VR 7RF Stealth Pro Key Specifications

  • Display: 17.3″ FHD (1920×1080), IPS-Level

MSI GE63 Raider 8RF RGB

MSI GE63 Raider RGB is a fancy laptop with RGB lighting and top-notch specifications. For starters, it comes with the latest 8th Gen Intel i7 8750H processor and a GTX 1070. Now, this is more than enough for most of the games out there. With a 256GB m.2SSDd and 16GB 2400 MHz RAM, you’ll get some serious performance with this laptop.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Also, this laptop comes with a 120HZ 3MS display, this means games will be a lot more smooth. However, some graphics heavy AAA titles might not hit that 120fps on max setting. Moreover, its display has a 100% sRGB coverage; a big thumbs up for the editors. But, the battery won’t last long. Given its 51Whr capacity, you’ll get up to 3-4 hrs of average usage time. MSI GP63 Leopard 8RE

MSI GP63 Leopard 8RE is a toned down version of the GE63 Raider. For starters, it comes with the latest 8th Gen Intel i7 8750H processor and a GTX 1060. Now, this is more than enough for most of the games out there. With a 256GB m.2SSDd and 16GB 2400 MHz RAM, you’ll get some serious performance with this laptop.

Moreover, its display has a 94% NTSC color gamut and has a 3ms response time; one hell of an option for gamers. But, the battery won’t last long. Given its 51Whr capacity, you’ll get up to 3-4 hrs of average usage time.

MSI GL63 8RC

MSI GL series is a budget gaming laptop series from MSI. It comes with the latest 8th Gen Intel i7 8750H processor but it comes with a GTX 1050. GTX 1050 is not the best out there, you will only be able to play games at low-medium settings with comfortable fps.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Also, this laptop comes with a matrix display support. Thus, you can connect up to 2 external displays simultaneously. But, the battery won’t last long. Given its 41Whr capacity, you’ll get up to 2-3 hrs of average usage time. You could get a GTX 1060 for this price tag. This laptop has poor battery capacity and it’s better to go for a Dell 7567 or the Lenovo Y520.

MSI GL63 8RC Key Specifications

  • Display: 15.6″ FHD (1920×1080) LED
  • CPU: 8th Gen. Intel® Core™ i7 8750H 2.8GHz

MSI GF63 8RC

MSI GF63 8RC is nearly identical to the GL63 8RC that we talked about above. It comes with the latest 8th Gen Intel i7 8750H processor and has 8GB RAM. But it comes with a GTX 1050 Max Q graphics instead of the regular GTX 1050. The GTX 1050 in itself was not that capable of playing games at high fps; don’t expect the Max Q version to be any better. If you are a content creator who needs to edit video on the go, this may be the laptop for you. But for others, this is unnecessarily expensive.

GF63 8RC laptop comes with a matrix display support. You can connect up to 2 external displays simultaneously but the battery won’t last long. Given its 4500mAh capacity, you’ll get up to 3-4 hrs of average usage time. It’s better than the GL63 8RC but not by much. The main pain point of the GF63 8RC is the price. You could get a GTX 1060 for this price tag. This laptop has poor battery capacity and it’s better to go for a Dell 7567 or the Lenovo Y520.

MSI GF63 8RC Key Specifications

  • Display: 15.6″ FHD (1920×1080) LED

  • Ports: USB Type-C 3.1 Gen1, USB Type-A 3.1
  • OS: Genuine Windows 10 Home

MSI GF63 8RC Price in Nepal: Rs. 138,000

Pros Cons
Excellent Cooling System Average Battery
Top-notch Keyboard Viewing Angle not Great
GTX 1050 Max Q not good enough for the price

MSI GF63 8RD

MSI GF63 8RD is identical to the GF63 8RC that we talked about above. It comes with the latest 8th Gen Intel i7 8750H processor and has 8GB RAM. But it comes with a GTX 1050Ti graphics instead of the GTX 1050 Max Q. While the 1050 Max Q was slightly less powerful than the original 1050, 1050Ti is slightly more powerful than the original 1050. But even with this slight increase in performance GF63 8RD remains unnecessarily expensive..

GF63 8RD also has an additional 128GB SSD inside that helps with faster boot times. The main pain point of the GF63 8RD is the price. You could easily get a GTX 1060 for this price tag. This laptop has poor battery capacity and it’s better to go for a Dell 7567 or the Lenovo Y520.

MSI GF63 8RD Key Specifications

  • Display: 15.6″ FHD (1920×1080) LED

MSI GE62VR 7RF Apache Pro

This laptop is a year old device with a 7th Gen i7-7700HQ  processor and a 3GB GTX 1060. 7th Gen i7 combined with GTX 1060 is just what you need for gaming. However, the performance on the 8th Gen processor is much improved. Nonetheless, with the GE62VR Apache Pro, you’re getting 16GB RAM and an IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 1920*1080. Also, you’re getting a premium SteelSeries Back Lit multi-color keyboard.

This laptop is a very good option but the 3GB VRAM might bottleneck this device. Demanding games like GTA V and PUBG will suffer due to memory issue. Also, you can get Dell 7577 and Acer Predator Helios 300 for a much cheaper price. However, you won’t get the same level of durability and reliability with those laptops.

MSI GE62VR 7RF Apache Pro Key Specifications

MSI GP62MVR 7RFX Leopard Pro

GP62MVR is a similar device to the GE62VR. But this one offers a 6GB VRAM GTX 1060 instead of the 3GB VRAM 1060 on the GE62VR. Now, this laptop makes more sense than the GE62VR.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

It has similar specs as of the GE62VR but has a smaller battery capacity with 41Whr. The display is also a downgrade version from the GE62VR with only 72% NTSC color range. But this device will deliver the same level of performance with its i7 77HQ processor and GTX 1060. Its a much better choice than the GE62VR.

MSI GP62MVR 7RFX Leopard Pro Key Specifications

MSI PL62 7RC

MSI PL62 is a hybrid of a gaming laptop and the ultrabook. It comes with the i7 7700HQ processor and 2GB MX150 GPU. This laptop has the specs for entry level gaming; so do not expect top-notch performance from this device.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Also, it has a 41WHr battery which is below average for an entry level gaming laptop. You can get other laptops with a similar or better configuration at much cheaper prices. The like of Acer & Dell has much better notebooks with the similar specs. Or you can even go for the Dell 7567 with a GTX 1050 for the same price or the Acer Nitro V5. You have tons of alternatives here.

MSI PL62 7RC Key Specifications

  • Display: 15.6″ FHD (1920×1080)

MSI GS65 Stealth 8RE Thin

Not a great fan of the Red color that MSI likes to splash its laptops with? Well, MSI GS65 knows that not everybody is a fan of the red, so it made the GS65 in stealth black with hints of gold. And it looks regal. The gold dragon logo on the lid was enough to make me want to buy this laptop. Not only does it look good, it is incredibly thin and light for a gaming laptop. It measures around 4.12 pounds. To put that into perspective, Acer Helios 300 weighs nearly 5.47 pounds.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

But it is not all about the shape and the design. MSI GS65 also is a great performer. It has a 512GB NVME SSD inside which means fast bootup and program load times. Inside lies an 8th Gen Intel Core i7 8750H processor which is a 6 core processor from Intel. This powerful processor is coupled with 6GB of Geforce GTX 1060 graphics. Though this is not the most powerful graphics card in existence, it will easily let you play PUBG and Fortnite in high settings. But MSI GS65, priced at 275,000, is expensive, and whether the design and the portability are worth the money for you is up to you to decide.

MSI GS65 Stealth 8RE Thin Key Specifications

  • Display: 15.6″ FHD (1920×1080) 144Hz

Have Your Say

MSI has a wide variety of laptops but it’s gaming laptops take all the credit for its reputation. Even within its gaming lineup, MSI has plenty of category for all types of gamers from casual to pros. WIth the GS gaming laptops, MSI gives you both power and portability, with the GT lineup, it gives you huge laptops with sophisticated hardware. And, if you’re looking for something more affordable MSI offers you the GE, GP, and GL series. You do get a lot of choices but all of the MSI laptops have a premium price tag. It’ll cost you more than the laptops from the likes of Dell and Acer, but it gives you unrivaled reliability and durability.

My choice among all of the laptops available is the MSI GP62MVR Leopard Pro. It provides you the necessary power to play all the AAA titles and has a decent price tag. With 6GB VRAM GTX 1060 and 16GB DDR4 RAM, GP62 is a very good choice for a gamer that wants to play all the currently available games. Most of the games should run on medium-high settings with 60+ fps. However, titles like Witcher 3 and PUBG won’t run at constant 60fps on high settings. However, you can get the Dell 7577 and Acer Predator Helios 300 with the same configuration for a lot cheaper.

Among the above mentioned MSI laptops in Nepal, which one is your personal favorite. Are you looking to buy an MSI laptop? Do you have any queries regarding the performance of MSI laptops? Feel free to ask any questions in the comments down below.
