MG4 EV – Brand New Electric Hatchback Launched in Nepal

MG4 EV is finally available in Nepal.

Paramount Motors, the authorized distributor of MG vehicles in Nepal, has unveiled the price for its first-ever electric hatchback for the market.

MG Nepal has launched the MG4 EV alongside the MG Comet.

Compared to the outgoing MG ZS EV, the new MG 4 EV will set precedence for the next generation of electric driving.

It will be available across two configurations: Comfort and Luxury.

The standard range gets a 99kw Motor with a 51kWh battery. Whereas, the long-range gets a 150kW Motor with a 64kWh battery.

MG 4 EV Overview

Design

MG4 EV is the most uniquely distinctive hatchback.

It moves away from a typical hatchback design. As a result, the design feels fresh and modern when compared to other MG models.

The front section boasts a streamlined angular face, completing a mean and aggressive look.

It gets its LED Projector setup and stripped LED DRLs. Moreover, it comes with an Active Intake Grille Shutter with an Integrated Side Indicator.

Coming to the rear section, the design consists of angular touches and crease lines.

While it gets 17-inch Alloy Wheels, it has been covered by a low-wind resistance aero cover.

Performance

MG4 EV comes in two configurations: Comfort and Luxury.

The Comfort variant is powered by a 99kW Synchronous Motor. It generates a max power of 134PS and a max torque of 250Nm.

It gets a 51kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate battery with a 350km claimed range. Moreover, it can fully charge in 7.5 hours via the 7kW Fast Charger.

Similarly, the Luxury variant is powered by a 150kW Synchronous Motor. It generates a max power of 203PS and a max torque of 250Nm.

It gets a 64kWh Nickel Manganese Cobalt (NMC) battery with a 450km claimed range. Moreover, it can fully charge in 9 hours via the 7kW Fast Charger.

Both variants support 150kW DC Fast Charging, which brings down the charge time to under one hour.

MG4 EV is built on MG’s Modular Scalable Platform (MSP). The modular platform will be shared across MG’s EV products down the line.

The dimensions are 4287mm in length, 1836mm in width, and 1504mm in height. Moreover, the wheelbase sits at 2705mm.

MG4 gets a 150mm ground clearance. And, the kerb weight is 1655 to 1685kg.
