Lenovo V14 G3 with 12th Gen Intel CPU Launched in Nepal

Nagmani recently became one of the authorized distributors of Lenovo in Nepal. Following the news, the distributor launched a new laptop, the Lenovo V14 G3, in Nepal. The notebook was launched internationally in October of 2022. It is priced at the entry-level segment.

Nagmani International aims to target the entry-level laptop market in Nepal with Lenovo V14 G3. It comes with an Intel Core i5-1235U processor, Iris Xe graphics, and expandable memory; all in a very compact and portable form factor.

Lenovo V14 G3 Overview

Design

Being an entry-level laptop, the Lenovo V14 G3 is offered in only one shade called “Iron Grey”. It does not have any accent marks and has minimal branding with just the Lenovo logo on the lid and the palm rest.

When opened, the bezel of the laptop is black whereas the keyboard, palm rest and trackpad are the same shade of gray as the outer lid.

The V14 G3 comes with a tenkeyless non-backlit keyboard. It may not be ideal for users who have a habit of using the number pad or who work in low-light conditions.

Display

The Lenovo V14 G3 comes with a 14-inch, 16:9 aspect ratio display. The screen has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 px with a pixel density of 158 ppi. It has a refresh rate of 60Hz.  

The anti-glare display covers a 45% NTSC color gamut and has a peak brightness of 300 nits as stated by Lenovo. This ensures comfortable viewing in low to moderate lighting conditions. 

Hardware and Connectivity

The Lenovo V14 G3 is powered by Intel’s Core i5-1235U 12th Gen processor (2 performance and 8 efficiency). The performance cores have a maximum clock speed of 4.4 GHz whereas the efficiency cores max out at 3.3 GHz.

For graphics, the laptop comes with Intel’s Iris Xe integrated processor. The Xe graphics will however only operate when the laptop has a dual-channel memory configuration otherwise it will use Intel’s UHD graphics instead.

This variant of Lenovo V14 G3 comes with 8 GB of non-removable DDR4 memory. For expansion, there is one DDR4 SODIMM slot available. Storage-wise, the laptop comes with a removable 512 GB M.2 NVMe SSD. 

Port-wise, the laptop offers a USB-A 2.0 port, one USB 3.2 Gen 1 port, one USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 port (Power Delivery 3.0 and DisplayPort 1.2), one HDMI 1.4b, one headphone/microphone combo jack (3.5mm), one Ethernet (RJ-45), and one power connector.

Battery

The Lenovo V14 G3 comes with a 45 Wh Lithium-Polymer battery that is compatible with Lenovo’s Rapid Charge technology. For power, the laptop comes with a 65W 3-pin adapter in the box.
