KTM RC 200 Overview

Design

KTM RC 200 always sported a one-of-its-kind styling.

It is an aggressive superbike in its class, offering a sharper stance with sportier graphics. Interestingly, KTM decided to tweak the formula this time around.

The front section sports an all-new Full LED housing. Moreover, the indicators and DRLs are integrated into the new housing.

It is topped off with a larger transparent windshield for improved aerodynamics.

RC 200 comes with a slightly different fairing as well.

Inspired by MotoGP bodywork, it now comes with a layered styling from front fenders to tailpipes. KTM claims that it will improve high-performance aerodynamics at higher speeds.

It moves away from the sporty riding position by making the riding position somewhat upright. Nonetheless, the handlebar height can be tweaked according to the user’s choice with an Adjustable Handlebar. It can raise or lower the clip-on by 15mm.

Furthermore, the split-seat setup offers thicker foam with a new non-slip surface for enhanced comfortability.

Additionally, the KTM RC 200 comes in two colors: Black and Gray.

Performance

KTM RC 200 is powered by a 199.5cc Single Cylinder, 4-stroke, 4-valve, Liquid-Cooled FI engine. It can generate a max power of 25PS at 10000rpm and a max torque of 19.3 Nm at 8000rpm. 

Furthermore, it is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission and a 13.7-liter fuel capacity. 

The fuel tank is quite large now. The older KTM RC 200 featured a 9.7 Litre fuel tank.

If you compare the specs with the old ones now, there are no new changes here.

However, KTM has included some changes to improve the overall ride quality. These changes include a larger fuel tank, a newer curved radiator, and a 40% larger airbox. 

New Generation Chassis, Lightweight Wheels, and Redesigned Brake Disc are other under-the-hood changes.

Additional Details

The suspension setup is handled by WP Upside Down Front Forks with WP Mono-Shock in the Rear.

It features Dual-Disc Braking with Dual-Channel ABS with Supermoto.

The dimensions are 980mm in length and 1340mm in Height. Moreover, the wheelbase is 1340mm.

KTM RC 200 gets a 158mm ground clearance. And, the kerb weight sits at 160 Kg.
