Kollter ES1 Pro Electric Dirt Bikes Now in Nepal: Officially Launching Soon!

Kollter Motorbikes are ready to launch officially in Nepal.

Enduro Motors, the authorized distributor for Kollter Electric Motorbikes in Nepal, will make its debut in the Nepali market with its first-ever electric dirt bike. Kollter ES1 Pro will make its entry ES1-S Pro and ES1-X Pro variants.

Kollter, also known as Tinbot in Germany, is an American technology company driven by cutting-edge design and innovation.

In December 2017, Kollter launched the E-SUM, a lithium straddle bike for urban sports at the Milan show. It became available in Europe in 2019 under three OEM names (Tinbot, Horwin, Artisan) and later debuted in the US as the Kollter ES1.

The Kollter Electric Bikes have already arrived in Nepal. However, the official launch is pending for now. Enduro Motors plans to launch them officially in a month or two.

Kollter ES1 Pro Overview

Design

Kollter ES1 Pro boasts a slim and minimal design with dirt bike styling.

The bike has a tall stature featuring a wide handlebar. It also features an LED Headlamp with LED DRLs and slim LED Sidelights.

Users can remove the bike’s single seat to access and charge the battery. Additionally, a charging port on the top below the handlebar allows for direct bike charging.

The ES1 Pro has an LCD Instrument Cluster and a Push to Start/Stop Button.

The side profile looks minimal and sleek. The body is constructed using plastic materials, with a glossy finish on the top side and a matte finish on the bottom side. Additionally, it has reflectors on both sides. Footpegs are center set.

The rear profile comes with a Triangular Plate Holder that looks decent with a slim LED Taillight on the top and a reflector on the bottom.

It is built on a lightweight Alloy Frame.

Additionally, Kollter ES1 Pro comes in White and Black colors.

Performance

ES1 Pro is powered by an 11 kW electric motor. It can generate a max power of 14 PS and a max torque of 220 Nm.

It is supported by a 72V32Ah Samsung Lithium Ion Battery. Moreover, it can fully charge in 3.5 hours, claiming a range of 150 Km per charge.

Kollter ES1 Pro features 3 riding modes: Eco, D, and Sports.

It comes in two variants: ES1-S Pro and ES1-X Pro.

There is no major difference between the two variants as both share style, power, and performance.

The ES1-S Pro variant comes with a Belt Drive which provides quiet operation, requires less maintenance, and also offers higher top speed. On the other hand, the ES1-X Pro comes with a Chain Drive that provides higher efficiency and can handle heavier loads, making it ideal for off-road performance.

ES1 Pro is not built for long tours. Nonetheless, it can be a good option for in-city commuting.

Additional Details

It features adjustable Alloy USD Front Forks and a Mono-Shock Rear suspension.

The overall dimensions are 2080mm in length, 860 mm in width, and 1150 mm in height. And, the wheelbase sits at 1470 mm.

Interestingly, the Kollter ES1 Pro comes with a good ground clearance of 320 mm. The kerb weight is 135 Kg.

The ES1-S Pro variant comes equipped with 17-inch Motard Street Tyres – 110/70-section front and 130/70-section rear. Meanwhile, the ES1-X Pro comes with a 21-inch Dirt Tyres 90/90-section front and 18-inch 4.18-section rear.

Motard Street Tyres have red sticker on the rim, while the Dirt Off-Road Tyres is bare bone.

Kollter ES1 Pro rivals Yatri Project One.

Yatri P1 offers so much more for its asking price. Along with its larger 14kW Motor, informative LCD Display, and Dual-Purpose tyres, P1 boasts a much stronger charging network and far better reliability.

On the other hand, the Kollter ES1 Pro doesn’t fully justify its high asking price.

While it does provide a larger battery and extended range, it still houses a less powerful motor with a lackluster Monochrome LCD. If it plans to make an impact and rival the Yatri P1, Kollter should focus on establishing a strong after-sales and charging station network.

Again, the success of Kollter ES1 Pro remains to be seen.
