Apple iPhone 13 Overview
Design & Display
The iPhone 13 has a design that is remarkably similar to the iPhone 12 from the year before. We see the same flat-edged, sleek design with the aluminum frame; however, the notch cutout is 20% smaller, and the rear cameras are positioned diagonally rather than vertically.

Also, the iPhone 13 is 7.7mm thick and weighs 174g, which is slightly more than the iPhone 12.
Like the iPhone 12, this one is also IP68 rated for water and dust resistance. The phone is available in five colors: Pink, Blue, Midnight, Starlight, and Red.

It has a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with a brightness of up to 800 nits and support for HDR10 and Dolby Vision. Unlike the iPhone 13 Pro models, it does not have a higher refresh rate display.
For protection, the display is protected by Ceramic glass.
Camera
The iPhone 13 has a dual-camera setup comprising a 12MP main camera and a 12MP ultrawide camera. The main camera has a larger 1.7µm sensor and also has sensor-shift optical image stabilization, which was only available in the Pro models of the iPhone 12 series.
However, unlike its Pro siblings, it doesn’t support macro photography. For the video, it can shoot at 4K up to 60fps and at 1080p up to 240fps. On the front, it has a 12MP selfie camera.
Hardware
The iPhone 13 is equipped with Apple’s new A15 Bionic chip that is built on 5nm technology. It has two high-performance cores and four high-efficiency cores, making it a 6-core CPU. In terms of the GPU, it has a 4-core GPU instead of the 5-core GPU found in the iPhone 13 Pro versions.
The iPhone 13 series will also allow dual eSIM for the first time. Previously, just one eSIM could be used. If you need to insert a standard SIM card, there is also a physical Nano-SIM card slot.
It shipped in three storage capacities: 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB. Only the lowest variant is available in Nepal right now.

Battery
The iPhone 13 has a bigger 3240mAh battery that supports up to 20W fast charging; however, it—like the iPhone 12—does not come with a power adapter.

It also supports 15W MagSafe wireless charging and Qi wireless charging up to 7.5W.
Apple iPhone 13 Price in Nepal and Availability
The current iPhone 13 price in Nepal for the 128GB model is Rs. 80,399. The iPhone 13 (128GB) can still be purchased at EvoStore and Oliz Store in Nepal, whereas the higher variants have been sold out for years.
| Apple iPhone 13 | Price in Nepal |
|---|---|
| 128GB | Rs. |
| 256GB | Out of stock |
| 512GB | Out of stock |
The iPhone 13 has a similar design to the iPhone 12, but it has a brighter display, improved cameras, and a bigger battery. However, it still lacks a higher refresh rate display and a telephoto lens, which are only available on Pro models.
Possible Alternatives
At this price point, two Android phones in particular stand out: the Honor 400 Pro and the OnePlus 13R. The Honor 400 Pro is priced slightly higher than the iPhone 13, but it comes with a plastic frame, which feels like a downgrade compared to the aluminum body of the iPhone 13.
That aside, the Honor 400 Pro is a major upgrade over the iPhone 13 in almost every other area, including brightness, resolution, refresh rate, camera, and battery life.
If you want to save a bit, the OnePlus 13R is another excellent option. It has a smoother display with higher resolution, so you won’t be compromising on visuals. It also features a telephoto zoom similar to the Honor 400 Pro. Considering its price, the 13R offers significantly better value for money.
