Infinix Note Edge Gets Expensive: But Starting Price Remains Unchanged

It has been more than 6 months since the Infinix Note Edge debuted in Nepal. While the phone had a shaky start at launch, there were still plenty of great-value 2025 phones available at the time. However, with many of those 2025 phones now running out of stock, and so many new phones launching at sky-high prices, the Note Edge easily became a more compelling option in its segment. Well, that was before it got a price hike of up to Rs. 3,000. But what about now?

On to the phone itself, the Note lineup is a staple in Infinix’s smartphone series. But the “Edge” branding is being used for the very first time in the series, which I can’t help but draw parallels to the iPhone Air.

What is the Price of Infinix Note Edge in Nepal?

At launch, the Infinix Note Edge only came in two variants, 8/128GB and 8/256GB, priced at Rs. 41,999 and Rs. 47,999 respectively. Sometime after launch, Infinix then introduced a 6/128GB version, effectively lowering the entry price for the Note Edge to Rs. 38,999.

Now, after the price hike, the Infinix Note Edge price in Nepal is back to Rs. 41,999, but this time for the 6/128GB variant. The 8/128GB variant has now risen to Rs. 43,999, while the 8/256GB variant stays unchanged at Rs. 47,999. So, while the starting price may look the same, you are getting less memory now.

The Infinix Note Edge follows a “thin yet powerful” concept, packing a massive 6,500mAh battery inside a slim 7.2mm chassis. And that’s just the beginning.

Infinix Note Edge Overview

As the name suggests, the Note Edge features a proper “Edge” design with a 3D curved display and contoured edges. The overall body shape, however, looks quite similar to the Hot 60 Pro+, so it doesn’t feel entirely new.

There’s a large horizontal camera module on the back, and it comes in four shades: Lunar Titanium, Silk Green, Stellar Blue, and Shadow Black. Infinix has also added a green customizable shortcut button on the right side. That said, the button color could have been better integrated with the overall design.

The Silk Green colorway comes with Infinix’s polyurethane water-wave brushed texture, which the company says draws inspiration from silk to create “a leather-like surface with silky smoothness”. The other colors utilize “high-strength composite materials infused with cat’s-eye gem effects, producing layered, premium matte finishes that shift elegantly with light and angle”, according to the company.

The 6.78-inch curved AMOLED panel has a sharp 1.5K resolution along with a 120Hz refresh rate. The AMOLED skips HDR support. That’s a letdown for 2026, honestly.

If you’ve seen the Hot 60 Pro+, these specs might look familiar. It carries a similar display setup, including 1600 nits of HBM brightness and an impressive 4500 nits peak brightness. The handset also features dual JBL-tuned stereo speakers. In addition, the Note Edge is an IP65-certified device with Corning Gorilla Glass 7i on top of its display.

In terms of performance, Infinix has equipped the Note Edge with the MediaTek Dimensity 7100, becoming one of the first brands to use this chipset. The Dimensity 7100 is a 6nm mid-range chipset, although it sits below the Dimensity 7300 in MediaTek’s lineup. Infinix claims that the phone has managed to score 7,50,000 points in AnTuTu. The chipset is paired with 6/8GB LPDDR5X RAM and 128/256GB UFS 2.2 storage.

The camera setup is kept simple with a single 50MP main camera on the rear and a 13MP selfie camera. Both the rear camera and front camera can capture up to 2K 30FPS videos.

As mentioned earlier, a 6,500mAh battery within a 7.2mm slim chassis is quite impressive. Infinix promises it will retain at least 80% of its initial capacity after 2,000 charge cycles, or about six years of use. The charging speed caps at 45W, going from 1% to 100% in 62 minutes.

The Note Edge is also the first Infinix phone to run on XOS 16, based on Android 16. Furthermore, the company promises three major Android updates and five years of security patches. A welcome move that shows Infinix is finally taking long-term software support more seriously.

While the Note Edge failed to shine at launch, it sure is shining now, six months after its release. For instance, you’re getting a super crisp 1.5K AMOLED display, in a segment where FHD+ and LCD screens are still far more common.

Even the performance is decent. The only thing I’d fix is the memory configuration. At Rs. 41,999, you’re only getting 6GB RAM. So if you want more memory at a slightly lower price, I’d recommend the Moto G57 Power with 8/128GB, which costs Rs. 37,500. However, you will be sacrificing the sharp display of the Note Edge for an FHD+ LCD panel.
