Infinix Note 40 Pro Overview
Design
Starting at the back, the first thing you’ll notice is the huge gold-colored plaque that houses the camera and the flash module. This design, which gradually evolved from the Infinix Note 10 Pro, now occupies almost one-third of the entire rear panel.
On top of that, the panel now has an even more sophisticated look, with the dual-tone finish and camera details written, when compared to its immediate predecessor, the Note 30 Pro’s rear camera module.
Wrapped around the phone, the gold finish side rails house the power button and the volume rockers on the left, the SIM card slot, the USB-C port, and the speaker grille on the bottom. Finally, the IR blaster and the secondary speaker grille are on the top.
To complement the look of the device, Infinix has made the Note 40 Pro available in two finishes: vegan leather and multicolor, which they have named Vintage Green and Titan Gold respectively.

Display
Moving to the front, the smartphone comes with a curved, centrally placed punch-hole AMOLED display. It has a resolution of 1080 x 2436 pixels and a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz.
The Gorilla Glass covered panel can achieve a peak brightness of 1300 nits and includes an optical fingerprint sensor underneath for biometric authentication.
Hardware
The Infinix Note 40 Pro is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G99 Ultimate processor. The 6nm chip has 2x 2.2 GHz Cortex-A76 performance and 6x 2.0 GHz Cortex-A55 efficiency cores. The graphics are handled by a Mali G57 coprocessor.
In terms of memory, Infinix has only made the 12GB RAM, 256GB storage variant available in the Nepalese market. The phone does not support microSD card expansion.
Besides that, the smartphone also includes dual speakers tuned by JBL and an RGB light array that Infinix calls ‘Active Halo AI Lighting’ in the flash module.
The Active Halo is basically a notification LED light that glows up when you receive calls or messages, or when doing an activity on the phone. Lastly, there is an added vapor chamber for more effective cooling.
Camera
Talking about the cameras, the Infinix 40 Pro comes in a ‘triple camera’ setup with the main camera being a 108MP, f/1.8 aperture shooter. The camera comes with PDAF and OIS. One benefit of having such a huge megapixel count is the ability to shoot images in ultra-high resolution.
The Note 40 Pro takes advantage of this hardware and makes 3x lossless zoom possible when taking photos. Mind you, this still falls in the realm of digital zoom and is not comparable to true optical zoom.
Besides the main camera, the phone comes with two additional 2MP, f/2.4 lenses alongside a 32MP selfie camera, finishing the camera setup. The rear camera can shoot videos up to 1440p at 30 fps whereas the selfie camera can shoot videos up to 1080p at 30fps.
Battery and OS
In terms of battery, Infinix has paired the Note 40 Pro with a non-removable 5000mAh Li-ion battery that supports up to 70W fast charging through a USB-C port. Infinix claims that the smartphone can charge up to 50% in 20 minutes.
Additionally, the smartphone supports 20W wireless charging, bypass charging, reverse wired, and reverse wireless charging as well.
One thing the company has mentioned in its marketing is the inclusion of an in-house manufactured power management chip which they’ve named Cheetah X1. In essence, this chip supposedly helps in better and more efficient power management when charging the Note 40 Pro smartphone.
Moving onto the OS department, the phone comes with XOS 14 running on top of Android 14. Infinix states that the company will provide up to 2 years of Android updates alongside 36 months of security patches with the Note 40 Pro.
