Infinix Note 30 Overview

Design

The Infinix Note 30 features flat sides made of plastic with a frosted, satin-like glass back. There is also the leather-like back on the Sunset Gold variant, which is not available in Nepal.

Although there is no camera island, the phone has a rectangular area enclosing the rear cameras and a flash that reflects colorful lights. The phone is also rated IP53 for some protection against dust and water.

On the front, there is a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. Interestingly, the phone also sports a front flash, which is located in the top frame above the display.

The right side of the Note 30 has a power button — which also serves as a fingerprint sensor — and a volume rocker. The SIM card tray is on the left side of the phone and can hold two SIM cards and a microSD card.

The bottom side houses a 3.5mm headphone jack, a microphone, a USB Type-C port, and four holes for speaker output. Whereas, the top side of the device has another speaker output next to the “SOUND BY JBL” logo for the stereo setup.

Display

The Infinix Note 30 has a 6.78-inch IPS LTPS LCD display with a Full HD+ resolution.

The 120Hz refresh rate support is appreciated, but the OLED display would have made the display much better. Regardless, the LTPS display may prove to be slightly better than the A-Si LCD display types.

For brightness, Infinix claims a maximum peak brightness of 500 nits.

Hardware

The Note 30 is powered by MediaTek Helio G99 chipset. It is a powerful budget to mid-range chipset that can provide a good level of performance, including gaming.

The chipset features two 2.2GHz Cortex-A76 and six 2.0 GHz Cortex-A55 CPU cores, and Mali-G57 GPU. For memory, the Note 30 comes with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.

Camera

The Infinix Note 30 has a triple rear camera setup with a 64MP main camera. However, the phone misses out on an ultrawide camera and instead, we have a gimmicky 2MP depth sensor and a useless “AI Cam.”

The front has a 16MP selfie camera. In addition to the rear LED flash, the phone also includes a front LED flash for selfies.

Amazingly, the Infinix Note 30 is capable of shooting up to QHD (1440p) at 30fps video from both the front and back cameras.

Battery and OS

The phone is fueled by a 5000mAh battery and supports 45W fast charging. It is officially the fastest charging speed offered under 25K in Nepal at the time of writing.

The phone also has a bypass charge feature. This feature bypasses the battery while charging and supplies power directly to the main board, which helps control the phone’s temperature.

In terms of the operating system, the phone boots on XOS 13 skin based on Android 13.

Infinix Note 30 Price in Nepal and Availability

Infinix Note 30 price in Nepal is Rs. 23,999 (8/256GB). You can buy the phone at retail stores across the country.

Infinix says the phone is available in limited quantity.

For the features the phone offers, the Infinix Note 30 is truly a great value-for-money budget smartphone. It has a great design, a powerful G99 chipset, a 120Hz LCD display, and 45W fast charging support.

Furthermore, the phone has a 64MP main camera and a 16MP selfie camera with a front LED flash. If only it featured an ultrawide camera and a better screen, preferably an OLED, it would have been near perfect, hardware-wise.
