Like Samsung, Huawei, too, launches two flagships product in a year. The first half of the year belongs to Huawei’s P-series smartphone and the second half to the Mate series. The time to meet this year’s P-series phone, Huawei P30 has come. Huawei has teased in their Twitter that they will be launching the P30 in Paris on 26th March this year.

Huawei Moblie posted a 10-second video with a caption “Rules were made to be rewritten. Paris, 26.03.2019.” But, of course, as with nearly all the phone teasers, no hardware was shown. Cinematic shots with lots of zoom action were sewn together to make the 10-second video. Though this does not give us much to talk about the phone, it does hint that the P30 will come with even better zooming capabilities than the already amazing Huawei Mate 20 Pro.
Huawei P30 is the successor to the wildly popular Huawei P20 Pro that popularized the triple-camera revolution. That phone still sits atop the DXOMark’s rating, sharing its spot with its mate, the Mate 20 Pro. Like the Huawei P20 series, there will likely be multiple versions of the P30 (possibly with different camera capabilities).
Huawei P30 Leaks
Evan Blass, a leaker with a comparatively good reputation, tweeted this, “The Huawei P30 promises to be another imaging powerhouse, according to someone who’s seen one: triple rear camera, with a maximum resolution of 40MP and 5x lossless zoom, plus a 24MP selfie cam. And this isn’t even the Pro variant.”
And, based on the previously leaked Olixar cases for both the devices, the P30 Pro will have quad cameras on the back. Both devices have been rumored to feature waterdrop notches which means there will be a single selfie camera on both phones.
Internally, we expect these phones to come with Huawei’s latest 7nm chipset, Kirin 980. This is an absolute beast in terms of performance and battery efficiency, so we have no problem with this chipset. We also expect at least 6GB of RAM onboard. And the internal storage will probably start at 128GB.
We don’t yet know much about the battery capacity or other special feature that the P30 will come with. Will there be an optical fingerprint sensor or an ultrasound one? Will the reverse wireless charging return? We don’t know but we guess that no the teaser is out, the leaks will funnel in quicker and by mid-march, we will have a pretty good idea of what we are going to see in Huawei P30.
