Honor X9c Overview
Design and Build
The Honor X9c borrows a similar design as the Honor X9b with its circular camera ring design. Moreover, the curved frame and edges give it a similar look to the X9b.
To enhance the aesthetics, X9b comes with a titanium finish frame and measures just 7.98mm in thickness. Meanwhile, the weight has bumped up to 189g from 185g.
Upfront, the Honox X9c now has a pill instead of a hole-punch design.
X9c receives upgraded protection with 1st SGS Five-Star comprehensive reliability certification, 2m drop resistance, and IP65M Dust and Water resistance.
The IP65 resistance means that the phone can handle low-pressure jets, but Honor has mentioned that the phone is not professionally water resistant. Instead, it has been tested in the HONOR Lab environment and shows no functional problem after being rinsed with a 12.5L/min water flow for 3 minutes and left to stand for 24 hours.
The “M” here means that the device was in motion when conducting the test. This could also signify that the device boasts 360° water resistance, hence the rotating vessel used for marketing.
In terms of colorways, the Honor X9c comes in three colors: Titanium Purple, Titanium Black, and Jade Cyan.
Display
The display size remains the same as the Honor X9b at 6.78 inches. It gets the upgraded 1.5K AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate.
The upgraded panel has a peak brightness of 4,000 nits, a massive boost from 1200 nits. Likewise, it has 1.07 billion color depth, DCI-P3 color gamut, and PWM dimming of up to 3,840Hz.
Additionally, it features dynamic dimming and circadian night display features for proper eye protection. However, Honor has not mentioned the type of protection for the display.

Hardware
The Honor X9c has the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset, the same as the Honor X9b. It is an octa-core processor with four 2.2GHz Cortex-A78 cores and four 1.8GHz Cortex-A55 cores.
The smartphone is available in 12/256GB and 12/512GB trims in the international market. However, it is only available in the former configuration in Nepal. It also offers 12GB of virtual memory.
Interestingly, there is no mention of vapor chamber cooling, but Honor has claimed that X9c ensures safe and stable operation in extreme temperatures ranging from 30°C to up to 55°C.
Moving on to the battery, X9c has a massive 6,600mAh silicon-carbon battery and 66W fast charging. As such, it likely has the largest cell capacity among all the smartphones available in the market right now.
Camera
The camera hardware of the X9c looks similar to the Honor X9B, with a 108MP main camera and a 5MP ultrawide camera. However, the main camera is now equipped with OIS, which was missing on the X9b.
The 2MP macro camera from the X9c has been removed, and the front camera remains the same at 16MP.
The main camera supports lossless zoom up to 3x and digital zoom up to 10x. Similarly, it can shoot videos up to 4k 30fps.
OS and AI
In terms of software, X9c comes with Android 14 out of the box with MagicOS 8.0. However, has not mentioned any kind of software support for the X9c.
X9c boasts plenty of AI camera features like AI Night Mode, AI OIS Motion Sensing Capture, and AI Eraser. Furthermore, it also supports Honor’s Magic Capsule, Parallel Space, and Magic Portal.
