Honor X5 Plus Overview
Design
The Honor X5 Plus is available in two color options: Cyan Lake and Midnight Black. The phone features a square camera island on the back with the camera sensors itself being stacked vertically and encased in a circular ring.
The phone brings a flat frame with a good-looking finish but the front notch can take away from the overall appeal of the phone. But for a budget phone, it still looks very nice.

Display
The phone sports a 6.56-inch HD+ resolution display. It’s a TFT LCD panel with a 90Hz refresh rate.
The display also features Dynamic dimming that Honor claims helps reduce eye fatigue. The bezels look uniform on the 20.15:9 ratio display with 269ppi density.
Hardware
The Honor X5 Plus is powered by the Mediatek Helio G36 under the hood. It’s a 12nm chipset with eight cores (4×2.2 GHz Cortex-A53 & 4×1.7 GHz Cortex-A53). It’s an entry-level chipset.
The phone comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage. For more storage, the phone also includes a dedicated micro SD slot.
Camera
The phone comes with a dual camera setup. The primary camera is a 50MP f1.8 sensor with the secondary being a 2MP depth sensor. Only the primary camera is usable and the videos can be shot up to 1080p@30fps.
The front comes with a 5MP f2.2 camera and can shoot up to 1080p@30fps videos.
Battery and OS
The phone has a large 5200mAh battery with support for 10W wired charging. The charging is done via a USB-C port.
