HONOR CHOICE T10 Arrives in Nepal with AI-Powered Translation

HONOR CHOICE has finally entered the smartphone arena. After making its global debut in July 2026, the T10 has now officially launched in Nepal in September 2026, giving the market a new entry-level option under a rather familiar but previously non-smartphone name.

HONOR CHOICE has mostly been the brand’s affordable sidekick for earbuds and smartwatches. The T10 changes that by bringing the CHOICE badge to a smartphone for the first time.

It has the big screen, modest internals, a chunky battery and a camera setup that does not waste space pretending to be something it is not. But then HONOR throws in something you would not normally expect from a phone this basic and budget.

So, is the CHOICE T10 simply another affordable HONOR phone, or does the CHOICE badge actually bring something different to the table?

As I have mentioned before, CHOICE is a completely new smartphone name for HONOR. Until now, its affordable phones have mostly lived under the Play and X series, with models like the X5c handling the budget duties.

It looks like HONOR is testing out a new home for its low-end phones, one where the hardware stays humble, but the phone still tries to sneak in a few extras.

And that brings us to this question: what exactly do you get for that entry-level ticket?

Honor Choice T10 Overview

The CHOICE T10 isn’t trying to cosplay as a flagship. It keeps things simple with a fairly large 168.8 x 78.4 x 8.8mm body, available in Black and Silver. At 192 grams, it’s also no featherweight, largely thanks to that oversized display.

The back keeps things refreshingly plain, too. Instead of a chunky camera island, there’s just a single camera cutout paired with an LED flash, giving it a cleaner look.

The front pack has a 6.75-inch IPS LCD with HD+ resolution (1600 × 720) and a 90Hz refresh rate. For an introductory phone at this price, that’s a pretty sensible combo.

The compromise comes with the 450-nit peak brightness and the fact that 720p is stretched across a rather large panel, so it won’t look as crisp or bright as pricier phones. The IP52 rating is another nice touch at this price.

Under the hood sits the UNISOC T615, an entry-level 12nm octa-core chipset, paired with a Mali-G57 GPU. For a budget phone, the T615 is a pretty sensible pick.

With smartphone prices creeping upward, getting a chipset like this at Rs. 16,499 is respectable for everyday browsing, social media, streaming, and light multitasking. Just don’t expect it to turn into a gaming beast.

The bigger eyebrow-raiser is the storage. The 3/32GB variant costs Rs. 16,499, while the 4/64GB version goes for Rs. 19,499. I think this is the obvious place where HONOR has trimmed the budget. It is also a little stingy when phones like the HTC Wildfire E7 Life offer 4/128GB at a similar price range. Slightly extra price, but it’s a pretty good exchange with storage.

The CHOICE T10 takes the refreshingly uncomplicated route with its cameras. You get a 13MP autofocus rear camera and a 5MP fixed-focus selfie camera, no ultra-wide, no fake depth sensor, and thankfully, no decorative camera circles just for show.

It’s clearly not built for photography, and at this price, that’s hardly a crime. The setup should be fine for casual snaps, documents and the occasional social media upload.

But there’s a catch: the 3/32GB variant doesn’t exactly leave you much room to build a photo gallery. And the competition is offering more. The Blackview Wave 10C, for instance, packs a 32MP main camera and 13MP selfie camera, along with 4/128GB storage at a similar price range.

On the battery side, it packs a 5,000mAh battery, which is pretty much basic these days. For the T10, that capacity makes sense, especially with its T615 chipset and HD+ display. The charging story is a little less exciting, though, with just 10W over USB Type-C.

And this is where the Redmi A7 gives HONOR a tiny reality check. It launched at around Rs. 15,999 for 3/64GB with a slightly larger 5,200mAh battery and 15W charging.

Now, 10W versus 15W isn’t exactly a heavyweight boxing match, but when you’re charging a 5,000mAh battery, every extra watt helps shave a little time off the wall-socket wait.

It runs Android 16 Go Edition, which is a pretty nice touch at this price, bringing newer software optimised for the T10’s basic hardware.

Honor Choice T10 AI Translation

This is where the CHOICE T10 gets unexpectedly ambitious. It comes with offline translation, which goes well beyond the usual “AI” sticker slapped onto a budget phone.

For starters, it handles text-to-text translation across 58 languages, text-to-speech across 46, and speech-to-speech across 15 languages. It also supports AI simultaneous interpretation across 78 languages, basically trying to be your pocket translator without needing the internet.

Similarly, it doesn’t stop at voices and text. The image translation feature supports 32 languages, letting you point the camera at a sign, menu, label, or other written material and have the phone recognise and translate it.

HONOR also claims up to 98% voice-recognition accuracy and support for speech at up to 200 words per minute under its own testing conditions. Naturally, real-world results can vary, but for a phone at this price, that’s a surprisingly loaded translation toolkit.

The HONOR CHOICE T10 is an interesting first step for HONOR’s CHOICE lineup, but it is hardly a budget phone without compromises. The hardware is firmly entry-level, and the 3/64GB base variant in particular feels restrictive for a phone expected to handle modern apps and everyday multitasking.

Meanwhile, the Infinix Smart 20, which costs little more for the same 4/64GB configuration, offers better features in overall specs.

What makes the CHOICE T10 stand out is its unusually long list of AI translation and interpretation features. But the real question is how useful those tools will be in everyday use. A long feature list means little if the experience is limited by the phone’s basic hardware.

That makes it a curious debut for HONOR’s new budget lineup. Still, whether that is a worthwhile trade-off will come down to whether buyers actually use it or not.
