Although it’s been a while since the global launch, the Honor 400 Pro is finally making its way to the Nepali market. Honor Nepal recently teased the phone on their official social media handles, confirming its imminent arrival.
The Honor 400 Pro checks all the right boxes for a premium budget phone—without creeping into full-blown flagship territory. You’re getting a 2024 flagship chipset, a massive 6,000mAh silicon-carbon battery, a crisp 1.5K AMOLED display, and a feature-rich camera system. On paper, it’s more than ready to take on the competition.
But in today’s saturated mid-premium market, good specs alone aren’t enough—it’s easy to get lost among dozens of similarly equipped phones. So, what sets the 400 Pro apart from the rest?

Honor 400 Pro Overview
Design
Design-wise, the Honor 400 Pro looks noticeably different from the 200 Pro, especially on the back. The standout feature is the camera module, which adopts a unique multi-angled cutout just like the 300 Pro—which was launched exclusively in China. It’s a fresh take and something we haven’t seen elsewhere in the market.
Beyond aesthetics, the 400 Pro retains the familiar curved plastic frame (a bit of a let down) and a glass back. What’s impressive is the inclusion of both IP68 and IP69 ratings.
Adding to its utility, the phone includes an IR blaster, a feature that’s becoming increasingly rare. It also boasts an SGS 5-star rating for durability and display quality, highlighting its focus on long-term reliability and user safety.
Display
On the front, there’s a quad-curved AMOLED display with a pill-shaped cutout for the selfie camera. The bezels are impressively thin and uniform on all sides. The 6.7-inch panel boasts a 1.5K resolution (1280 x 2800 pixels), resulting in a crisp 460ppi pixel density
When it comes to brightness, the HDR-certified screen shines—literally. It can reach a peak brightness of 5,000 nits for HDR content and dip as low as 1.5 nits in dark environments, making it easy on the eyes. It also supports 3840Hz ultra-high frequency PWM dimming.
Under the display, you’ll find an in-display fingerprint sensor for secure and convenient unlocking. Additionally, the screen carries TÜV Rheinland’s flicker-free certification, ensuring a more comfortable viewing experience.
Hardware
Powering the Honor 400 Pro is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, Qualcomm’s 2024 flagship chipset—the same one featured in the China-only Honor 300 Pro, and an upgrade over the Honor 200 Pro.
While the 8 Gen 3 may not be the absolute newest by today’s standards, it’s still one of the most powerful smartphone chipsets available, offering excellent performance.
Globally, the phone is available in a 12GB RAM + 256GB storage configuration. However, in Nepal, only the 512GB storage variant is expected to launch.

Camera and AI
The triple camera setup on the Honor 400 Pro is headlined by a massive 200MP main sensor, which HONOR dubs an AI camera. Backing it up is a 12MP ultrawide lens, which also serves double duty as a macro shooter. Rounding out the setup is a 50MP telephoto lens capable of 3x optical zoom.
In terms of video, the rear camera system supports up to 4K recording at 30fps. On the front, housed within the pill-shaped cutout, is a 50MP selfie camera that also supports 4K video recording at 30fps.
HONOR has packed the camera app with several AI-powered features, including Motion Sensing Capture, Remove Reflection, and a lot more.
One standout feature is AI Image to Video, which can convert static images into short videos. However, this feature is free, but only for a limited time, so early adopters will get the most value.
Battery and OS
Honor 400 Pro packs a massive 6,000mAh battery. Despite the large capacity, the phone maintains a relatively slim profile thanks to the use of silicon-carbon battery technology. HONOR also claims 4 years of battery durability.
For charging, you’re looking at 100W wired SuperCharge and 50W wireless SuperCharge.
Out of the box, the phone runs Android 15 with HONOR’s custom MagicOS 9.0 skin layered on top. Just like Samsung and Google’s budget and semi-flagships, HONOR is now committing to 6 years of major Android updates.
Honor 400 Pro Price in Nepal and Availability
The Honor 400 Pro price in Nepal could be Rs. 87,999 (12/512GB).
The phone is not yet available for purchase in the Nepali market, but given the strong popularity of its predecessor, it’s likely that Honor Nepal will bring the 400 Pro to the market sooner than expected.
Honor 400 Pro | Price in Nepal [Expected] |
---|---|
12/512GB | Rs. 87,999 |
As mentioned earlier, in a market flooded with spec-heavy devices, just checking the boxes isn’t enough. At a given price point, a smartphone needs that wow factor—something to rise above the noise.
The Honor 400 Pro does deliver solid value for money, especially in key areas like its flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, a massive 6,000mAh Si/C battery, and those AI-powered camera features.
However, if the expected pricing holds, the 400 Pro might come off as slightly expensive for some buyers. That’s likely why Honor Nepal is also bringing in the Honor 400 and 400 Lite—to cater to more budget-conscious users.
