Honda Grazia is the powerful brother of Honda Dio. Yes, that’s the best way to put it. Sounds familiar? Well, it’s like the relationship that Activa 125 and Aviator share. Priced the exact same as Activa 125, one can only wonder the rivalry these might go against.

As for the performance, you get a similar experience with the likes of Activa 125. Although, you do get better mileage in Grazia.

Honda Grazia vs Honda Activa 125. Which one should I buy?

If you have decided to buy 125cc Honda scooter, one common question you ask is that Grazia or Activa? Honestly, it’s a straightforward answer, go with the looks. You get the same engine, same chassis, and the same performance. The difference is in the design and the instrument cluster. That’s all the difference. Furthermore, you can even apply the same scenario for the Honda Dio vs Honda Aviator.

Honda Dio

Everyone loves Honda Dio. Perhaps, that’s why it’s one of the bestselling scooters in Nepal. After getting a major facelift for 2018, it’s even more appealing. Dio got a fresh set of cosmetic updates like new paint schemes, LED lights, slightly edgy design, and much more. Moreover, the design has been so inspirational that it has been carried over to the competition like Yamaha in Razor and Ray ZR. Well, Yamaha might say it’s not the same, but we know what’s up *wink wink*.

So, should the Honda Dio be the more obvious choice to be your next scooter?

Honestly, yes. I tried to come up with reasons why one shouldn’t buy the Honda Dio. After countless attempts, I’ve failed to do so. My initial complaints were the analog instrument cluster and hard suspension. Although Honda has addressed them in Dio DX, there is no official word on the launch of the improve Dio DX. Despite its shortcomings, Honda Dio is a great ‘commuter segment’ scooter. That’s all I have to say.

While most love the edgy design and the sporty graphics, there are some who prefer a simple and clean-cut scooter. For those who prefer the latter one, Honda has got your back. Honda Aviator takes it old-school with classic curvy design, simplistic colors, and attractive pricing. Perhaps, that’s why Aviator is among the popular choice for the people who don’t really want a Dio.

Mechanically, Honda Aviator shares a similar engine and similar performance with its other siblings. This includes a similar HET engine, overall experience, and performance. But visually, the design is miles apart. Even more so, the design looks more like a TVS Jupiter which unironically falls under TVS’s best sellers category. What’s up with that, Honda?

Moreover, you might ask about the features. So, you’ll get LED Headlamp, metal muffler hear shield, two hooks for bags and four-in-one key slot. And, the “Four-in-One Key Slot” comes as standard across all Honda scooters, which is innovation at its best. Personally, you can’t help but realize how ugly that slot actually looks.

Although there are many variations available in the Indian market, the top gen model is called the Activa 125.

Honda Navi

Is it a scooter? Is it a motorcycle? What on the blue earth is it? Well, Honda classifies it under the scooter segment even though many claim it as a weird looking motorcycle Whatever you choose to call it, Navi falls under the most affordable Honda bike/scooter in Nepal. Ever since its first launch, the reviews for the Honda Navi has been polarizing. Some love it and some hate it. But it definitely carries the weird X-factor, that makes people curious.

Yes, it’s affordable. But don’t go around buying Navi just yet. There’s a reason why it’s so inexpensive. You must give up a lot for a small and funky design. Inspired by the Honda Grom, Navi tries its best to give riders similar sportiness. And trust me, people are going to turn their heads when you ride it down the streets. Unlike other scooters or even motorcycles, you can actually modify or customize with things like grab rail, headlamp cover, mirrors, etc. to your liking. This gives your Navi that unique feel.

You really can’t complain about this bike/scooter, especially at such an affordable price. But there are things that every rider must keep in mind. But if you can overlook those shortcomings, you do get fun and cute bike/scooter. First, the instrument cluster. You get a very toned-down version of the analog cluster. So, you must make do with just odometer, fuel indicator, and speedometer. And this means no clock, no lap timer, and no trip meter. Okay, that is quite understandable. What’s not understandable is the mere 3.8-liter fuel tank. Even for a scooter segment, that’s a small fuel tank. Come ‘on Honda, seriously?

Hond Scooters in Nepal: Final Thoughts

Unlike Yamaha or TVS or Vespa, Honda does not focus on performance scooters or premium scooters. They have one simple target, daily commuter. It’s perfect for people who want an excellent performer without any compromise in the mileage department. Moreover, the styling isn’t outrageously “young” or “cool” or “pretentious”, it is simpler and more elegant. Well, that’s how Honda rolls.

Like Honda motorcycles, Honda scooters have had their fair share of success. Don’t believe me? Go out right now and count the number of Honda Scooters you encounter. You likely run into Honda Dio or Aviator in the first few seconds. This goes to show Honda’s immense popularity in the Nepali market.

So, why is Honda Scooters so popular? It’s simple really. First, Honda scooters come equipped with one of the robust engines with the utmost level of refinement. One can ride it gently or go wild, the Honda Eco Technology (HET) engine won’t lose its charm.

Secondly, Honda scooters are dedicated to the commuters. Thanks to that very engine, one can easily get top class mileage.

And last but not least, it’s the after sales service. Simply, combine affordable parts, convenient service locations, and friendly places, you get a recipe for an excellent after-sales experience. That’s Honda for you.
