DJI Osmo Mobile 4 with Magnetic Clamp Design Now Available in Nepal

DJI announced its latest mobile gimbal, the Osmo Mobile 4 back in August. And, now DJI Osmo Mobile 4 is available in Nepal via Oliz Store.

DJI Osmo Mobile 4 price in Nepal is Rs. 20,500. It comes in a single white color. The Osmo 4 is the latest addition to DJI’s ever-growing motorized smartphone gimbals.

The Osmo Mobile 4 has a similar design to the previous gimbal but the key design change comes in terms of a magnetic mount instead of a clamp design. Let’s check it out.

DJI Osmo Mobile 4 Overview

Design

The Osmo 4 has the same foldable design as the Osmo Mobile 3. But now, it has two magnetic mounts to quickly attach and detach your phone without needing to take it out and rebalance between shots.

One of the magnetic mounts is a clamp that wraps around your phone and the other one attaches to the back of your phone and doubles as a finger ring for a better grip with one hand.

This is a very good upgrade because it makes the whole process of balancing and adjusting the phone much easier. In fact, there is no balancing involved in this new design.

Aside from the new magnetic holder, it has the same button layout as the Osmo Mobile 3. DJI also mentions that the OM4 is slightly lighter and smaller than the Osmo Mobile 3 and has an upgraded motor. In terms of battery, it has the same battery from the Osmo Mobile 3 that can last up to 15 hours and can be used to charge your phone topped up over USB-C.

Features

DJI has added some new features to Osmo Mobile 4 via the software. There are some new features and some upgraded features.

• Active Track 3.0 supposedly has an upgraded tracking feature and it can recognize adults, children, and pets with higher accuracy.
• Story Mode lets you easily create short videos with one tap edits if you don’t know how to edit videos.
• Dynamic Zoom, previously known as a dolly zoom, works by digitally zooming in on a subject while walking backward or zooming out while walking forward.
• CloneMe Pano feature creates one epic panorama from several photos, pausing so you can get to the next frame and strike a pose.

Then there are Hyperlapse, Motionlapse, and Timelapse which were available previously as well. Another new thing is a SpinShot Mode which rotates your smartphone for a fun battel roll effect. However, it cannot rotate full 360 degrees.

DJI Osmo Mobile 4 looks like a really nice upgrade from the DJI Osmo Mobile 3. However, its launch price is more expensive than Osmo Mobile 3. The new magnetic clamp design looks really easy to use and except that it is exactly the same as the Osmo Mobile 3.
