Oppo Enco W51 Overview
Oppo Enco W51 is an in-ear style earbud and has a similar design to the Enco W31 which also takes inspiration from Apple’s Airpods Pro. It’s lightweight as the entire device only weighs 55gms.
The case has a USB Type C port for charging and it also includes a button for pairing.
Enco W51 is IP54 Water and Dust resistance as well. So, you won’t need to worry about it while using it in the rain or while working out.
Auto Detection and Touch Controls
Oppo Enco W51 features automatic detection. So, when you open the charging case, the connection will automatically begin if the device is already paired. However, this quick pairing is supported by Oppo phones running ColorOS 7 or higher.
As far as touch controls are concerned, double-tapping the left earbud enables/disables the Active Noise Cancellation. Double-Tap on the right earbud will play the next song and Triple-Tap will activate voice assistant. The volume controls are not available on the buds itself.
Oppo Enco W51 uses a Dual TPU composite graphene diaphragm. Oppo claims that this helps to extend the reach of high frequencies and depth of low frequencies. It uses a 7 mm dynamic driver with a sensitivity of 103 dB @ 1 kHz.
It is also Oppo’s first truly wireless headphones to be equipped with a system-wide audio quality compensation algorithm to avoid loss of audio quality from noise reduction techniques. Furthermore, it is equipped with a new dual-core digital noise reduction microphone. Oppo mentions that it has a noise reduction depth of 35 dB.
Oppo claims that W51 combines a noise reduction algorithm with 6 microphones to give you crystal clear music and phone calls.
Oppo Enco W51 uses Bluetooth 5.0 and it has a range of up to 10 meters. It also uses Binaural simultaneous transmission which means that both the earphones receive signals at the same time. As a result, latency is lower and the connection is more stable.
Oppo Enco W51 can last up to 4 hours with a single charge (3.5 hours with ANC ) and with the case you can get up to 24 hours of playback (20 hours with ANC). The buds have a 25 mAh battery and the case has a 480 mAh battery.
Oppo has mentioned that it takes about 80 min to charge both earphones and charging case from 0 to 100 with wired charging whereas it also supports Qi wireless charging which will charge the whole device in 2.5 hours.
