Colors was a very popular brand in Nepal in days of yore. It capitalized the smartphone market in the initial phase in Nepal. But as manufacturers with larger resources entered the market (like Xiaomi and Huawei), it’s presence and market share declined. However, Colors has been a constant presence in the smartphone scene in Nepal. And why won’t it be? It’s a Nepali brand after all.
The official distributor of Colors Mobile Phones in Nepal is Teletalk Pvt. Ltd. They launched this brand in 2009, and they have been selling Colors Smartphone alongside phones from Gionee since then. Teletalk seems to have found a new energy in late 2017 as they released 5 new phones between September and December. All of them are inside the budget category where Colors mostly focus at. Colors is a brand associated with budget phones; they only make phones in the sub 20K category. But the competition in this price range has skyrocketed nowadays as smartphones from Chinese manufacturers offer great performance even at this price.
So, are Colors phones worth buying in 2019? The answer is, yes. Some of them are surprisingly good value for money. They even outclass other phones from Chinese manufacturers at their price range. So to give you the idea of how Colors smartphones fare in the Nepali Market, we have compiled a list of all the Colors mobiles price in Nepal including some of the Colors service centers and call center in Nepal.
Colors Mobiles Price in Nepal
Colors Pride 5X
Colors Pride 5X houses 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage that can be expanded up to 128GB using a micro-SD card. The processor is a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek chipset that is competent to perform daily tasks like calling and texting. Sadly, the OS isn’t Android Go, a leaner, cleaner version of android tailor-made for low-powered devices. Customers would have had a much better experience with Android Go, but Android Oreo on a device with 2GB RAM runs good enough.
The highlighting feature of Colors Pride 5X is its dual rear cameras. Now, for 12K, we don’t expect these cameras to blow you away. Just looking at the specifications (8MP+0.3MP) tells you that. But, these cameras will be good enough for occasional snaps that you take for social media. There’s a 5MP camera at the front and it is accompanied by a flash. One useful feature that this camera has is the face recognition. Now, you can use your face to unlock your phone.
Colors Pride 5X Key Specifications
- Display: 5.45-inch Full View display with Dragontrail glass protection
- Resolution: HD+ (1440 x 720 pixels); 18:9 aspect ratio
- Chipset: 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6739WA Quad-Core Processor
- Memory: 2GB
- Internal Storage: 16GB (expandable up to 128 GB via microSD)
- OS: Android Oreo (v8.1)
- Primary Camera: Dual: Dual 8MP + 0.3MP, LED flash
- Secondary Camera: 5 MP, LED Flash
- Sensors: Fingerprint, Accelerometer, Gyro, proximity, compass
- Battery: Removable Li-Ion 3000 mAh battery
Colors Pride 5X Price in Nepal: Rs. 11,999

Good value | Wish the internal storage was a little larger |
Good design | Dual cameras just for marketing |
Colors Pride 5E
The Pride 5E looks good for a phone under 8K, special thanks to the 18:9 screen. The metal-like material (we don’t know if it’s metal or not) around the rim gives it a distinct look that many people would appreciate. At the front, we have smaller-than-expected bezels at the top and the bottom which enclose a 5-inch WVGA display. We wish it were an IPS LCD display, but for 9K, I don’t think we can complain. At the back, the phone is clean except for the Colors logo and vertically stacked camera and flash at the top half.
Inside, 5C houses a 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage. The processor is a 1.3GHz quad-core processor. As the OS used is Android Go, a leaner, cleaner version of android tailor-made for low-powered devices like the Pride 5E, you should not face many issues with the phone regarding general navigation inside the UI, but heavy multitasking and games are no go. Due to the small size of the OS and it’s native apps, you will have more space left for your music and photos.
Colors Pride 5E Key Specifications
- Display: 5.0-inch FWVGA display
- Chipset: 1.3GHz Quad-Core Processor
- Memory: 1GB
- Internal Storage: 16GB (expandable up to 64 GB via microSD)
- OS: Android Oreo (v8.1)
- Primary Camera: Dual: 5MP
- Secondary Camera: 5 MP
- Sensors: Accelerometer, Gyro, proximity, compass
- Battery: Non-removable Li-Ion 2300 mAh battery
Colors Pride 5E Price in Nepal: Rs. 7,925

Colors Pride 5C
The Pride 5C, like the Pride 5E, looks good for a phone under 8K, special thanks to the 18:9 screen. At the front, we have smaller-than-expected bezels at the top and the bottom which enclose a 5-inch WVGA display. At the back, the phone is clean except for the Colors logo at the center and vertically stacked camera and flash at the top left corner.
The major difference is the lack of 4G support in 5C. So, if you use a 4G network, which is faster than the 3G network by a huge margin, then stick to the 5E. If 4G isn’t available in your area, or that is not your priority then 5E and 5C are nearly the same phones. They have the same internal specs and the same camera modules.
Colors Pride 5C Key Specifications
- Display: 5.0-inch FWVGA display
- Chipset: 1.3GHz Quad-Core Processor
- Memory: 1GB
- Internal Storage: 16GB (expandable up to 64 GB via microSD)
- OS: Android Oreo (v8.1) (Go version)
- Primary Camera: Dual: 5MP

Colors S11
Colors S11 ranks very high on our best smartphones under 15000 list. If you look at the spec sheet, you can see why. It has a decent processor for the price but the 3GB RAM is a great addition over the expected 2GB. This makes the phone feel smoother as larger RAM enhances the multitasking performance.
Also, this phone has dual front-facing cameras with flash that clicks detailed and sharp selfies. You don’t find this feature even in premium smartphones. A fingerprint sensor graces the back of this phone which is a very welcome feature as you don’t find it on most other phones from Xiaomi or Huawei at this price. Overall, the Colors S11 is a very well-rounded phone on a budget and we highly recommend it to anyone looking to buy a phone under 15K.
Colors S11 Key Specifications
- Display: 5.2-inch HD IPS LCD display
- CPU: MediaTek MT6737W
- Memory: 16GB internal storage with microSD expandable storage (up to 128GB), 3GB RAM
- OS: Android 7.0 Nougat
- Primary Camera: 8MP rear-facing camera with LED flash, f/2.0
- Secondary Camera: Dual 8MP + 8MP front camera with screen flash, 120-degree field of view
- Battery: 3000mAh

- Color: Jet Black

Colors S9
Colors S9 appears in our list of best smartphones under 15K category too. Colors have paired a 1.3 GHz Quad-core MediaTek processor with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB ROM in the Colors S9. This specification is fairly similar to other smartphones in this price range. So, you will get a budget grade performance out of this phone. Fairly smooth for normal tasks, stutters under heavy load.
What sets this phone apart is the fact that it has a full metal body and has a fingerprint sensor. The build quality and some features like fingerprint sensor was the place that others manufacturers would have compromised to get to this price but not colors. The colors S9 even has a front flash. Colors have made a fantastic phone for such a low price and we applaud them for that.
Colors S9 Key Specifications
- Display: 5.2 inch IPS Display HSD Glass (1280*720) Resolution
- Chipset: MediaTek MT6737
- CPU: 1.3 GHz Quad Core Processor

Colors S1
This is one of the cheapest smartphones with a metal body and fingerprint sensor available on the market (along with the CG OMEGA 6). This device exemplifies that even low-end devices can be made up premium materials like metal instead of the usual plastic. The custom features of ColorOS like multi-gestures, Mira-vision for display setting and Colors lite for mobile data control are the welcome addition. But this phone is not a great performer. Just 1 GB of RAM is not enough to run Android Nougat smoothly. We recommend at least 2GB of RAM. However, if you can’t spend even a paisa above 10,000 this phone is the right way to go.
Colors S1 Key Specifications
- Display: 5 inch HD IPS display with 1280 X 720 resolution

Colors Pride P70 Selfie U
Colors Pride P70 was released in September 2017. The P70 Selfie comes with a 5-inch HD IPS display with a 2.5D curved glass design, typical of the price. This phone is rocking a mediocre processor, the MediaTek quad-core chipset with a clock speed of 1.3 GHz. But the 2GB of RAM is unexpected under 10K. You can expect a smooth performance under light loads like Facebook and YouTube apps. The phone comes with an internal storage of 16GB with an option for expandable storage up to 32GB.The P70 Selfie has an 8MP selfie camera with flash which will help you take selfies even in low lighting conditions and has features like Face Beauty and is capable of taking HDR photos. The rear-facing camera is also an 8MP camera with an LED flash. This phone runs on the stock version of Android 7.0 Nougat and is backed by a 2250 mAh battery which is a bit on the low side. We have doubts that this phone will last you a full day of use.

Colors P85+ Selfie Pro
The Colors P85+ was released in September 2017. So, it is still fresh. Inside, the P85+ is powered by a MediaTek octa-core processor which is paired with a 2GB of RAM. This is a good setup that will provide you with a smooth enough experience. We like the fact that this phone comes in a metal construction which feels much nicer in the hand than plastic. And the fingerprint sensor is a great addition. However, the placement of the speaker irks us. If you lay your phone on a table while playing music it will be muffled as the speakers are located on the back. Besides that, this is a great phone for the price. But we highly recommend you to spend a grand more to get the S11 as the 3GB of RAM would come very handy.
Colors P85+ Selfie Pro Key Specifications
- Display: 5.5 inches IPS LCD display
- Resolution: 1280 x 720 pixels

Colors P-65
Colors P-65 is a super-budget phone. But it has got good enough internals that it might just be the right phone for people who don’t use their phone often. The screen is not HD and the primary camera is still 5 MP. But we understand that this phone was not made for enthusiasts. You can call and text properly enough to justify buying this phone. Just don’t plan to use this phone for anything else. If you want a more functional phone but are on a budget, check out our best smartphones under 15K list.

Colors P-55
Colors P-55 is a downgrade over P-65 that we cannot recommend. For just a decrease of Rs. 400, your front camera’s megapixels significantly decrease and you lose a large chunk of your battery capacity. So, don’t buy this phone. Spend your Rs. 8000 on the phone above, the Colors P-65, or save some more and spend at the range 10K-15K which will give you a far better deal.

Colors Pride P-50 Plus
The Colors P-50 Plus is similar in specs to the Colors P-55. Honestly, it can be said that Colors packaged the same internals in a slightly different exterior and sold it as a brand new phone in the new year. So, whatever I said for the P-55 holds true for the P 55. And while the price difference against P-65 is now Rs. 15, we still think you should lean towards the P65. But don’t let this make you think that we are recommending the P65 because we are not. We strongly suggest you look for phones in the 10K-15K category to find the right fit for you.

Colors P45
Colors P45 has similar specs to the P55 but the processor is on the slower side. Also you are losing some of the battery capacity. So, this phone probably won’t last you all day. Though the price seems alluring if you are on a very tight budget, we have to warn you that you won’t have a smooth experience on a phone of this price. You are just buying this to make some calls and that’s it. Unless you are buying a phone for an elderly who have no idea how to use a phone, this phone isn’t a good buy.

Colors Pride P-20
We don’t know why this phone exists in 2018. What do you plan to do with a phone that has 512 MB ram? I don’t know if you’ll be able to run facebook properly. And the screen is a WVGA display. The front-facing camera is a VGA camera. Don’t buy this phone even if you only want to call and text with your phone. Look towards Colors S1 at least. Spend a little more on your phone and you’d be a lot happier.

Colors P5+ Champ
Don’t know how to describe this phone. While I won’t be able to build a phone like this with my own hands and if you look inside, you will find technologies that fascinate you even at this price, looking from the perspective of a consumer, there’s nothing this phone offers that makes people want to buy it. At Rs 3,895, this phone is too cheap which is evident from the camera configuration, or the battery capacity or the internal storage. Simply put, don’t buy this phone.

Have Your Say
This was our list of Colors mobiles price in Nepal. You can see that we have applauded some phones for the amazing value they provide. However, some phones, especially the old ones, are only meant to collect dust on the shelf.
All of these phones are under 15,000. You can see that Colors is super budget focused and this has helped them create fantastic phones like Colors S11 which of course is our favorite from the list.
