Cimex, the authorized distributor of BYD vehicles in Nepal, is expected to introduce a Multi-Purpose Vehicle to the Nepali market. And, it is called the M6.
The BYD M6 is the successor to the BYD E6, which was launched in Nepal in 2018.
As BYD’s research and development efforts advanced, the company became the leading electric vehicle brand in the world.
Nepal has become one of the countries where BYD has found significant success.
Currently, BYD Nepal offers models such as the Seal, Atto 3, Dolphin, and E6. The M6 will soon join this impressive lineup.

BYD M6 price in Nepal is expected to be around Rs. 55 Lakhs to Rs. 60.15 Lakhs.
The price of the M6 in Nepal is yet to be confirmed, as per various reports, this price was declared for customs purposes.
The two price tags correspond to the two variants the M6 might offer in Nepal.
The base model should come with a 55.4 kWh battery pack. The top variant, priced around Rs. 60.15 Lakhs, should feature a larger 71.8 kWh battery.
Both variants will be equipped with BYD’s patented Blade Battery technology, known for its safety and efficiency.

BYD M6 Overview
Design
The BYD M6, an MPV designed with a sleek and exciting aesthetic, stands out with its dynamic design.
The front features BYD’s signature Dragon Face 3.0, complemented by sharp LED headlights.
While the overall front design resembles the Atto 3, it narrows towards the center, enhancing aerodynamics.
It sits on long wheelbase and 17-inch Multi-Spoke Alloy Wheels. And, the roofline gently slopes toward the rear that adds to the vehicle’s streamlined and dynamic side profile.
At the rear, the M6 showcases full-width LED taillights with a chrome strip.
Inside, the M6 is thoughtfully designed for families, offering comfort and practicality. The leatherette seats, equipped with Front Ventilation, provide ample space to accommodate up to 7 passengers.
The cabin features a 12.8-inch Rotating Infotainment Screen at the center of the dashboard that offers connectivity for both Android and Apple devices.
The three-spoke steering wheel comes with physical controls and is paired with a 5-inch Information Display.
Plus, there is ambient lighting thanks to the Panoramic Roof above. A 6-Speaker audio system ensures an immersive experience completing the luxurious and family-friendly atmosphere of the BYD M6.
Performance
BYD M6 is powered by a 100 kW Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor. It generates a max power of 135 PS and a max torque of 310 Nm.
The M6 features BYD’s patented Blade Batteries, available in two configurations: a 54.4 kWh pack or a larger 71.8 kWh option.
Depending on the battery size, it delivers an NEDC-claimed driving range of 420 to 530 km.
Moreover, the charging time from 0 to 100% is around 9 hours for 54.4 kWh Battery pack variant while it is around 12 hours for 71.8 kWh option with AC Charging.
But a 50 kW DC Fast Charger can charge it from 10% to 80% in around an hour.
However, it does support higher charging power up to 89 kW.
Despite being a MPV, it can reach a top speed of 160 Km/h and can accelerate from 0 to 100 Km/h in around 9 seconds.
Additional Details
McPherson Strut and Multi-link Independent suspension handles the suspension duties.
The dimensions are 4710 mm long, 1810 mm width, and 1690 mm height. Moreover, the wheelbase is 2800 mm.
The vehicle offers a maximum ground clearance of 170 mm when unladen and a minimum ground clearance of 140 mm when laden.
And, the kerb weight is around 1800 Kg. Being a MPV, it can seat a 7 passengers comfortably.
The boot space is 180 liters extendable up to 580 liters.
