Design

Vivo Y20 gets a plastic back along with a plastic frame and has a glossy finish. The design looks quite slick as it houses a triple camera setup on the rear and a fingerprint sensor on the side.

It has a teardrop notch on the front with minimal bezels all around.

Display

Vivo Y20 sports a 6.51-inch IPS LCD display with a screen resolution of 720 X 1600 pixels.

They are calling it Halo display and mention that there are various technologies used to ensure a crystal clear visual and immersive viewing experience.

Hardware

Vivo Y20 is using Snapdragon 460 chipset. Along with it, it has 4GB RAM and 64GB storage expandable up to 256GB.

It’s an entry-level chipset introduced by Qualcomm in early 2020. Snapdragon 460 is using 4 Kryo 240 cores clocked at 1.8 GHz along with 4 Kryo 240 cores clocked at 1.6 GHz. It’s Adreno 610 GPU is the one used on the Snapdragon 665 chipset.

This chipset is used on the likes of Oppo A53 and Nokia 3.4 as well. And, it looks like an underclocked version of the Snapdragon 665 chipset.

Vivo Y20 is an old budget phone with an outdated chipset. The performance of the device is slower compared to other phones of 2022. It has a good battery capacity and a decent camera setup, but it is expensive for what it offers.

Given the tough competition in the budget market, Vivo’s offering looks a bit pale in comparison to the offerings from Xiaomi, and Realme.
