Blackview WAVE 7C launched in Nepal Starting at Rs. 15,999

After introducing its compact-sized WAVE 2C in Nepal, Blackview has now launched another entry-level smartphone in the Nepali market: the WAVE 7C.

The WAVE 7C looks like an iPhone 17 Pro Max clone, but the price tag shatters that illusion. As with the cost of it, you could buy more than 15 units of the WAVE 7C.

So, just how much is the Blackview WAVE 7C actually priced at?

Well, these entry-level phones do really sell like hotcakes. But what is that you even expect at this price? Let’s see….

Blackview WAVE 7C Overview

Looking at its recent launches, Blackview seems to take inspiration from leading smartphone brands. The WAVE 2C looked similar to Samsung’s Galaxy S Ultra smartphone lineup, and now the WAVE 7C follows a clear design that resembles the iPhone 17 Pro Max.

It comes in Vitality Orange, Phantom Black, and Arctic. The Vitality Orange stands out the most, making it look exactly like Apple’s latest flagship from a distance. However, that premium illusion does not hold up once you pick it up because its back and frame are a plastic build. Meanwhile, the front is a glass panel.

What I found surprising is that the WAVE 2C, which is even cheaper, comes with Panda Glass protection. Whereas the WAVE 7C does not specify anything here, and seems to just rely on plain tempered glass.

It features a 6.56-inch HD+ IPS LCD with a 720p resolution and 60Hz refresh rate, which is fairly standard for devices in this price segment. However, the typical brightness of 430 nits is a weak point, though, because using this under sunlight can be a hassle.

Performance-wise, the WAVE 7C runs on the UNISOC T310 chipset, a quad-core processor built on a 12nm fabrication.  A quad-core under 2026 feels a bit weird because even the cheaper WAVE 2C has an octa-core processor. But again, that chip was built on an older 28nm process. So it’s hard to say for sure which WAVE performs better. That would have been something interesting to test.

Moreover, both of the variants pack 4GB of RAM, with a choice between 64GB and 128GB of eMMC 5.1 storage. And a dedicated microSD card slot supports expansion up to 2TB. So, you do not have to choose between extra storage and a second SIM.

On the back, you will spot a bunch of camera cutouts, but don’t be fooled, because there’s only one functioning 32MP rear camera. And in the front, you get a 13MP selfie camera on a U-shaped notch.

It does meet the 5,000mAh battery standard with 10W charging. But there are smartphones under this price category like the Motorola Moto G06 Power and Redmi A7 Pro with beefier batteries and faster charging.

On the software front, the WAVE 7C ships with Android 16 skinned with Blackview’s latest DokeOS 5. Additionally, you get a 3.5mm headphone jack, Bluetooth 5, 5GHz Wi-Fi, and Quad-satellite navigation (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, A-GPS, BeiDou).

Look, let’s be real — if you’re after that premium design, the WAVE 7C gets the job done with its iPhone 17 Pro Max look.

But honestly, you are better off spending a thousand rupees more and getting Blackview’s own Color 6 instead. You get 8GB RAM, actual Panda Glass protection, an 18W charger instead of that sluggish 10W one, and a Mediatek Helio G81 chip that should easily outperform the WAVE 7C — all for barely any extra cash.

And if you’re willing to stretch just a bit more, another thousand rupees gets you the Shark 6, which packs a UNISOC T8100 —  a 5G chipset built on a 6nm process.

If you are just in for the looks, the WAVE 7C nails it, no doubt, but if performance matters to you even a little, it’s worth taking a second look at what else Blackview has on the shelf. Let alone other companies.
