It has been quite a while since we saw a Tecno Pova phone in the Nepali market. The last Pova phone was the Pova 6, which launched all the way back in June 2024. And now, the Pova series is back with the Tecno Pova Curve 2.

The Pova Curve 2 is the third Tecno phone to launch in 2026 and also the most expensive of them all.
What is the Price of Tecno Pova Curve 2 in Nepal?
The Tecno Pova Curve 2 price in Nepal starts at Rs. 52,999 for the sole 8/256GB variant. However, Daraz is offering a special launch price of just Rs. 47,999, a flat Rs. 5,000 off.
Tecno has not mentioned how long this offer will last, simply stating “for a short time.” So if you are on the fence about buying the Pova Curve 2, better hurry before the offer runs out.
Besides Daraz, the Curve 2 is also available at Tecno authorized stores across the country.
Tecno is not shy about making bold claims, and the Pova Curve 2 comes with two big ones. First, Tecno claims it is the world’s slimmest smartphone to house an 8,000mAh battery. Second, the design is inspired by what Tecno calls an “Interstellar Spaceship.” Whether it actually looks like one is debatable, but you have to admire the confidence.
And honestly, both of those claims alone are enough to make the Pova Curve 2 one of the more interesting phones to land in Nepal this year. The Pova series has always been about standing out — and on paper at least, the Curve 2 does exactly that. Let’s see if it actually delivers.

Tecno Pova Curve 2 Overview
Tecno definitely knows how to make an eye-catching phone, and the Pova series is a great example of that. Almost every Pova phone looks unique, distinctive, and instantly recognizable.

The Pova Curve 2 follows that same unique design trend. Tecno calls it “Interstellar Spaceship Design” — and look, I don’t know about you, but it definitely does not look like the Endurance from Interstellar.
The rear panel has a matte finish with angular detailing and a subtle outline running around the perimeter.
And at the bottom right, there is a what looks like a small transparent window that reveals the SIM tray with visible screws, adding to that cool, mechanical aesthetic. But don’t get your hopes up, it’s not actually transparent, it’s just a paint job.
Another eyecatcher is the curves. Both the frame and the back are curved, giving the phone a comfortable in-hand feel. And the curved back also accentuates its slim 7.42mm profile, which is pretty impressive for what it packs in the battery department, and we will get into that shortly. The phone comes in three color variants: Mystic Purple, Melting Silver, and Storm Titanium.
Flip the phone over, and you are greeted with some impressively uniform bezels. They are not the thinnest out there, but the uniformity gives it a clean and balanced look.
It is a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel, so accurate and vibrant colors are expected. Brightness reaches up to 1,600 nits in HBM mode and peaks at an impressive 4,500 nits. But what is more impressive is the 144Hz refresh rate — at least that is what Tecno claims. And seeing some Infinix phones struggle to actually reach their advertised 144Hz, I have to admit my expectations are a little tempered here.
For protection, there is Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, the same glass found on phones like the Infinix Note 60 Pro and the Nothing Phone (4a), so at least there is some peace of mind on that front.
On the performance front, everything is handled by the Dimensity 7100, built on a 6nm process. It appears to be a slightly toned-down version of the Dimensity 7300, paired with 8GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB UFS 2.2 storage.
Now, while the camera module was unique and exciting, that excitement quickly turned to disappointment when I saw the actual camera specs.
The Curve 2 only runs a 50MP main camera paired with a 2MP macro lens, and yes, that third lens is essentially just for show. On the front, there is a 13MP selfie shooter. The rear camera can record up to 2K at 30 fps, while the front is limited to 1080p at 30fps.

Now for the most impressive part, the 8,000mAh battery. And what makes it even more remarkable is that the Curve 2 is just 7.4mm thin. Cramming that massive battery into such a slim form factor is genuinely impressive. Tecno claims it can last up to 3 days, and to charge it back up, there is 45W fast charging that gets you to 30% in 20 minutes and 50% in 36 minutes.
The Pova Curve 2 runs on Android 16 with HiOS on top, with two major Android updates and three years of security patches.

The Tecno Pova Curve 2 is a phone that is easy to get excited about on paper. The design is genuinely unique, and the display is a treat at this price.
But the camera is where the excitement fades. The main and macro setup is a tough sell at Rs. 52,999. At Rs. 50,000 plus, phones like the Nothing Phone (4a) and the Infinix Note 60 offer far more capable and versatile camera setups.
So here is my honest take: if battery life is your absolute top priority and you want a head-turning design, the Pova Curve 2 delivers. But if you want a well-rounded phone that does everything decently, there are better options at this price. It is a great phone for what it is, just know what you are getting into before buying.
