Morbidelli has officially entered the Nepali market at the NAIMA Mobility Expo 2025, marking the Italian brand’s first appearance in the country. The debut lineup features five motorcycles, including three adventure models, one naked sports bike, and one bobber.

KTM International Trading, the authorized distributor of Morbidelli bikes in Nepal, officially showcases the T250X and T352X adventure motorcycles as the first models to go on sale. Although new to Nepal, Morbidelli carries a historic legacy. The brand rose to prominence in the 1970s, securing world championship titles in the Grand Prix racing scene. In 2024, Morbidelli was revived under the MBP (Moto Bologna Passione) umbrella, part of the Qianjiang Group (QJ Motor), the same powerhouse behind Keeway and Benelli.

Design

The Morbidelli T250X carries a sharp, modern adventure-bike silhouette that blends ruggedness with a premium presence. Its bodywork is defined by angular lines and layered panels that flow seamlessly from the tall front end into sculpted tank shrouds, giving it a muscular yet refined stance.

Up front, it features a vertically stacked LED headlamp paired with Morbidelli’s signature X-Stack LED DRLs, creating a distinctive face. The wide single-piece handlebar setup comes with integrated knuckle guards for both protection and an off-road-ready appeal.

From the side, the T250X highlights a chiseled midsection with bold tank extensions and a long two-level single-piece seat that tapers neatly into the tank. It rides on 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoked wheels, wrapped in block-pattern dual-purpose tyres for mixed-surface capability. The upswept matte-black exhaust complements the rugged theme while improving ground clearance and water-wading ability.

The Morbidelli T250X is equipped with a vertically stacked 6.75-inch TFT color display, one of the largest in the 250cc adventure segment. The screen offers sharp, easy-to-read graphics and displays all key information such as speed, RPM, gear position, clock, and temperature.

All functions can be managed via backlit handlebar-mounted switches. However, unlike its bigger sibling, the T352X, the T250X does not get smartphone connectivity.

Performance

Morbidelli T250X is powered by a 249cc Single-cylinder, 4-valve Air-Cooled SOHC Engine. It generates a max power of 22.4 PS at 7500rpm and a max torque of 22 Nm at 6000rpm. Moreover, it is mated to a 6-speed transmission and an 11.7-liter fuel tank capacity.

Here, the aggressive pricing of the T250X becomes more understandable. Despite being a 250cc trail motorcycle, Morbidelli has opted for a simpler carburetor engine instead of the modern fuel-injection (FI) setup.

While a carburetor engine does have perks, like easier maintenance and tuning, it may not sit well in a segment where FI technology has become the norm. This decision keeps costs lower but also means the T250X misses out on advanced features like riding modes, traction control, and tyre pressure monitoring (TPMS).

Interestingly, Morbidelli does offer a T250X Pro in select markets. That version comes with a fuel-injected engine and brings back the missing premium features, even folding mirrors. It would arguably make more sense for a market like Nepal, but it would also push the pricing higher. If the T250X performs well locally, there’s always a chance the Pro variant could be introduced later.

The Morbidelli T250X is built on a double-cradle frame.

Suspension duties are handled by 41 mm USD front forks with 177 mm of travel, paired with a linkage-type rear shock absorber that offers preload adjustment and 55 mm of travel.

In terms of dimensions, the T250X measures 2060 mm in length, 985 mm in width, and 1170 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 1340 mm.

Ground clearance is listed at 220 mm according to the official spec sheet, which is on the lower side for the segment. And, the kerb weight comes in at 154 kg.

This is shaping up to be an interesting battle between an Italian newcomer and a proven Indian contender. On styling alone, the Morbidelli T250X clearly impresses. Its premium design language and distinctive presence give it the edge in turning heads and standing out among segment rivals.

But beyond styling, the balance tilts in favor of the Hero XPulse 210. Despite having a slightly smaller displacement, the XPulse generates 2.2 PS more power and packs a larger 13-liter fuel tank. While the T250X claws back with 1.3 Nm more torque, its reliance on a carburetor engine undermines its overall appeal in a segment now dominated by fuel injection.

Where the XPulse 210 really pulls ahead is in capability. The 21/18-inch wheel setup, switchable ABS modes, long-travel suspension, and genuine off-road hardware give it a clear advantage over the Morbidelli.
