Redmi is a staple brand in the Nepali market, especially among budget-conscious customers. The Redmi 14C, for instance, was a popular choice thanks to its tall frame and all-around decent specs.
I still remember when the Redmi 14C first launched — it’s indented in my memory for one specific reason (which I might share in our review later). But the point is that the particular phone is now being succeeded by the Redmi 15C.
What is the Price of the Redmi 15C in Nepal?
The Redmi 15C price in Nepal could start at Rs. 13,999 for the 4/128GB variants. It could arrive in a few more trims as well.
The phone is not yet official. But the company has already started teasing it on its social media, hinting that the phone’s launch is fast approaching.
Talking about the Redmi 15C, it has not changed much from the 14C. A little upgrade here, a little downgrade there — you know how it all goes. Regardless, let’s take a look at all that’s going on with the Redmi 15C in this article:

Redmi 15C Overview
Design and Build
The Redmi 15C has dropped the large circular camera island we saw on the Redmi 14C, and gone with a rather minimal look this time. That being said, I could not help but notice the design similarity of this phone with the Redmi Note 14 and 14 5G.
I usually don’t talk about what’s written on the phone’s back. But here, it felt so signature-esque that I actually thought, “Whose autograph is this? Did Xiaomi partner with someone this time?”. But it’s just “Redmi 15C” written in cursive.
For colours, we have Moonlight Blue, Twilight Orange, Mint Green, and Midnight Black. Among them, the first two have a wavy, glittery look, while the latter two are just plain and basic. I just hope Xiaomi does not skip the interesting colours this time — I am still bummed that they left out the Starry Blue option last year.
Additionally, the Redmi 15C picked an IP64 rating on its way out of the factory.

Display
Xiaomi has made some meaningful changes to the display of the Redmi 15C. The phone now offers a typical brightness of 660 nits. This is massive considering that Redmi 14C capped out at 600 nits — on high brightness mode. This phone peaks out at 810 nits, which is great for visibility outdoors.
The colour gamut has also improved to 83% NTSC from last year’s 70%, allowing for richer colour reproduction. The display size has grown as well, now listed at 6.9 inches. I can’t say for sure if it’s genuinely 0.02 inches larger or if the company just rounded the numbers up. But that’s what the official specs sheet mentions, so there we go.
Other than that, the display specs on the Redmi 15C remain unchanged. It’s HD+ in resolution, up to 120Hz refresh rate, 8-bit colour depth, and up to 240Hz touch sampling rate. It did pick up TÜV Rheinland Flicker Free certification, on top of the other two certifications it already had.

Hardware
As for internals, it mostly remains unchanged. We are getting the same MediaTek Helio G81 “Ultra” processor, the same LPDDR4X RAM, and the same eMMC 5.1 storage. In the meantime, Redmi 15C offers virtual memory extension of up to 16GB and supports external storage expansion by up to 1TB.
The battery gets a buff on the Redmi 15C — of course it does. Bigger batteries are a whole trend right now. This one packs a 6,000mAh cell, which is over 16% increase from the previous model.
Speaking of which, the 14C packed a 33W charger in the box, even though it only supported a charging speed of 18W. But the 15C actually supports 33W charging. It also supports reverse wired charging of 10W.
Cameras and the rest
The rear camera on the Redmi 15C is the same 50MP shooter with FHD@30FPS video recording and ƒ/1.8 virtual aperture. The front-facing camera, however, takes a dip in the resolution from 13MP down to 8MP. The thing can still record videos in the same quality as the main camera, so we will have to wait and see if that hampers the imaging quality in any way.
The selfie camera doubles down as a face unlocker, too. It has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for added security as well. The Redmi 15C comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack, and the thing that caught my eye the most is the fact that this budget phone supports the LDAC codec.
Redmi 15C Price in Nepal and Availability
Redmi 15C is yet to launch in Nepal; however, we expect its price to start at Rs. 13,999 (4/128GB). It will likely be available in additional trims as well.
Redmi 15C | Price in Nepal [Expected] |
---|---|
4/128GB | Rs. 13,999 |
Even though the Redmi 15C has very few changes from the previous model, it will likely have a large impact on the Nepali market given the brand’s popularity. The phone will compete with the likes of the Moto G05 and Realme Note 70, both of which are decent picks in their price points.
