OnePlus Nord 4 Overview
Design
The Nord 4 comes in an aluminum unibody, as said earlier, and has a glass slab covering the camera portion which gives it a two-tone finish. Because of the metal body, the Nord 4 also comes as the slimmest Nord phone at just 7.99 mm thick, however, on the other hand, it comes in a bit heavy at 200 grams. The phone is rated IP65 dust and water-resistant.
The dual cameras have their own cutouts and are placed side-by-side with each other. On the far right of the cameras, you’ll find the dual flash modules. As for branding, you can find it in the center of the back panel.
When it comes to the side rails, they’re flat and house the power button and the volume rockers on the right while the alert slider is on the left. On the bottom, there’s a USB-C port and the SIM card tray, while the top features an IR blaster and a second speaker grille.
As for finishes, the Mercurial Silver option has laser-engraved diagonal lines running across the rear panel, which look pretty sharp, whereas, the Oasis Green and Obsidian Midnight variants have a smooth anodized aluminum finish for a sleek, polished look.

Display
Moving onto the display, the phone comes with a 6.74-inch AMOLED, display that has a resolution of 1240 x 2772 pixels and a sharp pixel density of 450ppi.
Alongside that, the punch-hole display has a 120Hz refresh rate and the ability to support HDR10+ content. While viewing, the display reaches a peak brightness of 2150 nits giving the content plenty of dynamic range and vividness.
The display panel has ‘Eye-care magic’ tech baked in which filters out blue light and eases OLED flicker to reduce eye strain. The panel supports OnePlus’ Aqua Touch technology which helps with typing or swiping when you have wet hands or if the display becomes wet.
Besides that, there is an optical fingerprint sensor embedded under the display for biometric authentication.
Hardware
OnePlus has included a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 processor with the Nord 4. The octa-core processor comes in a 1+4+3 configuration and has 1x Cortex-X4 prime core, 4x Cortex-A720 performance cores, and 3x Cortex-A520 efficiency cores.
In the memory department, the phone comes with either 8, 12, or 16GB of RAM paired with 128, 256, or 512GB of internal storage. Which variants will be coming to Nepal has not been confirmed yet.
OnePlus has packed in some decent cooling tech with a crystalline graphene and steel vapor chamber. This directly translates to longer usage and reduced thermal throttling during heavy use.
Cameras
Shifting our focus onto the cameras, the main 50MP shooter now comes with a Sony LYT-600 sensor, replacing the older but very good IMX890 sensor found in the OnePlus Nord 3. The camera has an aperture of f/1.8 and also has optical image stabilization. Accompanying the main camera is an 8MP f/2.2 ultrawide snapper that has a 112° field of view.
Besides that, there is a f/2.4 16MP selfie camera to complete the camera array of the smartphone. In terms of videography, the rear camera can shoot videos up to 4K at 60fps while the selfie camera can shoot videos up to 1080p at 30fps.
Battery and OS
Onto the battery. To power this feature-rich smartphone, OnePlus has packed two 2750mAh batteries (5500mAh total) in series configuration inside the Nord 4. The non-removable batteries support 100W SUPERVOOC charging and charge via the USB-C port.
Because of the quick charging technology, OnePlus has stated that the batteries can provide 5 hours of Netflix playback with just a 5-minute charge. They have also stated that their batteries will retain 80% of their capacity with intelligent charging features.
In terms of software, the phone comes with Android 14 with OxygenOS 14.1 skin applied on top. The new OxygenOS brings a lot of AI-related features and as always, is quick and snappy during animations.
In their promotional material, OnePlus has stated that the company will provide 4 generations of OS updates and 6 years of software support with the OnePlus Nord 4.
