Like every other car manufacturer, Datsun Go also comes in different variants—three to be exact. The overall experience between the car is the same. Things like engine, seating, standard features are all the same.
However, you do have to choose between a few things like Trip meters, Remote Keyless Entry, Power Windows, Chrome Grille, etc. These aren’t really the features you couldn’t live without, but nonetheless makes the entire experience a tad-bit nice.
Again, you might be confused which one has which so let’s go over them. In Datsun Go A(O), which is a base model, you get features like immobilizer, 3rd Party Infotainment System, ABS + EBD + Brake Assist, Power Windows, and Silver Front Hexagon Grille. Should I Buy the All-New Datsun Go?
Full disclosure, before I sat down to write this article, I was initially unimpressed with the Datsun Go. Going through the internet, Datsun didn’t really seem like a good car, at least in terms of value for money. However, I decided to give Datsun Go a chance. So, I visited the Datsun Showroom located at Thapathali. Giving it a closer look, I completely changed the way I feel about the Datsun Go.
You get some of the best-in-class features that some of the well-known brands don’t even offer. You get all the features, you get the looks, and overall within a certain affordable price. Who wouldn’t jump on an opportunity like that? Are you still not satisfied? I agree things on the internet don’t really represent the real things. In that case, visit Datsun Showroom in Thapathali, explore the car for yourself. And who knows, you might even change your mind as I did.
How much does Datsun really believe in this car? Well, Datsun has this pamphlet comparing the all-new Datsun with its rivals like Hyundai Santro, Tata Tiago, Polo 1.0 Treadline, Grand i10, among others. That’s how much Datsun believes in this car. Theoretically, for the price of a base variant, one could buy a top-variant of the Datsun Go. Honestly, Datsun might not have a competitive edge against the likes of a more popular brand, but it does offer complete value for money.
Note: Interestingly, Datsun didn’t compare their Datsun Go with the newly launched 2019 Ford Figo. If you didn’t know Datsun Go and Ford Figo are priced similarly. So, it is likely one might have to choose between the two at some point. I rather not say which you should really go for, as it should completely be your decision. So, do go for a test-ride and compare the features between the two. Finally, choose the one that best meets your needs.
