Front features brand-new LED DRLs which were absent in FZS V3. And, it has a newly designed Class (D) headlight which is now brighter.
A new reflector with a light guide now improves the distribution of light for the headlamp. This improves the nighttime visibility for the rider too.
FZS V4 includes slimmer sidelights which are now LED too.
Tank looks muscular with glossy Chrome Duct plating and a 3D emblem which ultimately enhances the street presence of the motorbike. The side profile continues to maintain a strong road presence.
It has a two-level single seat comfortable for both the rider and the pillion rider.
It has a lower engine fairing which serves to minimize mud and dirt splatter on the bike, while the design of the under cowl aims to elevate the bike’s sporty aesthetic.
The rear tail now comes with new high-visibility LED Taillights.
It comes with a Multi-function LCD Instrument cluster, inspired by the Yamaha MT-15. However, the gear position indicator is missing in this display.

Performance
Yamaha FZS V4 is powered by the 149cc, 4-stroke, Single Cylinder, SOHC, FI engine. It can generate a max power of 12.4 PS at 7250rpm and a max torque of 13.3 Nm at 5500rpm.
Moreover, it is mated with a 5-speed gearbox and comes with a 13L fuel tank.
Interestingly, it has an in-built Side-Stand Engine cut-off Switch.
Furthermore, it is E20 fuel compatible which means the mixture of 20% ethanol and 80% petrol can power up the bike without any issue. It also indicates Yamaha’s commitment to carbon reduction.
E20 compatibility is absent in the Yamaha FZS FI V3. However, this feature will be present in the FZS FI V4.

Yamaha FZS V4 is likely to launch in 2024, possibly during events like the NADA Auto Show or festive seasons. The exact date may vary due to different circumstances, but there’s a strong chance of it happening mid or late this year.
The rivals of Yamaha FZS FI V4 are TVS Apache RTR 160 4V and Suzuki Gixxer.
