Xiaomi Launches Redmi Buds Essential in Nepal

Xiaomi today launched a new budget TWS earbuds, dubbed Redmi Buds Essential, in Nepal.

The Redmi Buds Essential price in Nepal is Rs. 2,899. It is available for purchase at Xiaomi-authorized retail stores across the country.

Redmi Buds Essential Overview

Design

The Redmi Buds Essential comes in a capsule-like charging case made of plastic. Both the earbuds and the case have a matte surface.

These earbuds are lightweight with each earbud weighing only 4g, while the charging case is 35g. It comes with three sizes of silicone earbud tips so that you can choose whichever fits your ears more comfortably.

The earbuds are rated IPX4 for protection against light water splashes. For controls, each earbud has a button.

You can tap once, twice, or thrice to answer incoming calls, play/pause songs; reject/end calls, next song; or active voice assistant, respectively. Pressing and holding the buttons of both earbuds for 1.5 seconds will activate or exit low-latency mode.

Audio Features

The earbuds have a 7.2mm dynamic driver. It supports call noise reduction that helps to filter out ambient noise to make your voice clearer when on a call.

Redmi Buds Essential also has a gaming mode, which is said to improve latency when gaming. To activate the low-latency mode, press and hold both earbuds’ buttons at the same time for 1.5 seconds.

Buds Essential also allows users to use only one earbud at a time with its single-ear mode.

Battery and Connectivity

The earbuds have a 43mAh battery. Xiaomi claims that it can provide up to 5.5 hours of battery life on a single charge. Combined with the 300mAh charging case, the company says it can extend its battery life to 18 hours. It charges via a Micro-USB port.

Redmi Buds Essential has Bluetooth 5.2 support for connectivity. Simply opening the cover will make earbuds enter into pairing mode. After the first pairing, the earbuds automatically connect to the paired device after taking it out.
