The Vivo V23e price in Nepal is Rs. 36,999 for the 8/128GB variant and Rs. 41,999 for the 8/256GB variant till February 2023, after which both variants will cost Rs. 5,000 more.

Vivo temporarily lowered the price of the Vivo V23e and Y53s by Rs. 5,000 in Nepal in January, then raised the prices back to their original levels later in the same month.

The company once again dropped the price of the V23e and three other models — Vivo Y53s, Y20s, and Y15c. The price reduction is valid till the month of February.

This is the fifth change in price for the Vivo V23e. The first price change occurred in May of last year, four months after its launch in Nepal, when Vivo lowered the cost by Rs. 3,000. The starting price for the Vivo V23e was originally Rs. 44,999.

The Vivo V23e is a smartphone that was launched in January 2022. It is a successor to the Vivo V21e that was launched in August 2021 in the country. Vivo V23e Overview

Design

The Vivo V23e has a shiny glass back and a plastic frame. It has a rectangular camera module and a Vivo branding on the bottom, similar to other Vivo phones. It’s also fairly slim and lightweight measuring only around 7.4mm and weighing 172g, respectively.

On the front, it has an outdated waterdrop notch and a large chin, which I don’t think is the best-looking design.

Both the power and volume buttons are placed on the right side of the phone and on the bottom, there is a speaker, a USB Type-C port, and a hybrid SIM card slot that supports a microSD card.

Sadly, the headphone jack is no more in the Vivo V23e. For the colours, it comes in two options: Moonlight Shadow and Sunshine Coast.

Display

It features a 6.44-inch FHD+ AMOLED display. However, unlike most midrange phones, the display is only 60Hz with no support for any higher refresh rate.

The display has a 20:9 aspect ratio and the other thing to mention is, as mentioned earlier, the display design is not that great with a huge chin and waterdrop notch.

Hardware

The Vivo V23e is equipped with a MediaTek Helio G96 chipset. It has a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU and eight CPU cores comprising 2x Arm Cortex-A76 high-performing cores and 6x Arm Cortex-A55 efficiency cores.

Based on storage, it comes in two configurations: 8GB RAM / 128GB storage and 8GB RAM / 256GB storage.

Camera

Vivo is marketing the Vivo V23e heavily focusing on its 50MP front camera. The front camera has many features targeted towards selfie enthusiasts such as eye focus, filters or styles, double exposure, night mode, and Steadiface Selfie Video mode to stabilize selfie video.

In addition, the smartphone’s front and rear cameras can simultaneously shoot video on a split-screen.

Battery and Others

The Vivo V23e is powered by a 4050mAh battery, which can be charged via a provided 44W fast charger. Vivo claims the charger can charge the device from 0% to 40% in 15 minutes.

Moreover, the device runs on Funtouch OS 12 based on Android 11.

The Vivo V23e is yet another V series phone from Vivo. The pricing and the specs of the device do not match; the phone is clearly overpriced, which is not a surprise coming from Vivo.

The phone has a good-looking design, similar to its other phones, but it still has that outdated waterdrop notch and a noticeable chin. Also, the display still does not support a higher refresh rate than 60Hz.

Moreover, the phone is powered by the MediaTek Helio G96 chipset, which is not a bad chipset in and of itself. However, the same chipset can be found in much cheaper phones, such as the Realme 8i.

On the bright side, it is slim, lightweight, and includes a 44W fast charger. The camera performance should also be good.
