VIVO is in preparation of launching yet another mid-ranger in India. The leak on the latest device was presented in Amazon. As per the teaser, it’s confirmed that the newly arriving mid-ranger is the VIVO U20.
The U20 is the 2nd iteration of the VIVO U series after VIVO U10. With 5000mAh battery and a triple camera setup, the U10 was in most ways the perfect budget device. And now after 2 months of its release, VIVO is dropping the U20 in India on the 22nd of November. As of now, VIVO has not revealed their plans for Nepal. But as always, let’s hope that it does make it here.
Moving on, is the U20 as good as its predecessor? Well, the entire layout of the device hasn’t been confirmed yet. But here’s what we know so far.
VIVO U20: Specs known so far
As per the teased images, the U20 looks a lot similar to the U10. Both the phones look similar to one another and mostly the differentiating factor is the slightly smaller chin bezels. The phone stands at 6.53” with the same IPS LCD screen with an improved FHD+ resolution.

Under the hood, the phone has a Snapdragon 675 processor paired alongside 6GB RAM. As of now, it seems that only 64GB internal storage will be provided with UFS 2.1. Apart from that, its confirmed that the phone will be running Android 9 right out of the box with FunTouch 9 on top.
As for the cameras, there’s going to be a slight improvement to the primary sensor. The rear camera setup will be centered around 16MP main shooter with 8MP wide angle and 2 MP macro camera on the sides. The selfie shooter has also been bumped up to 16MP from 8MP.
Finally, the phone will be sharing the 5000mAH battery life as that of its forebearer with an 18W fast-charge. Other leaks depict the 3 different color variants of the U20 featuring black, blue and green colors.
VIVO U20 Availability and Pricing
As of now, we only know that the phone will be launching in India. There’s a chance that it might not arrive at all like the VIVO U10. But if it does manage to arrive in Nepal, it will likely be priced at around Rs 20,000 to Rs 22,000 as per the INR 9999 price tag.
Well, that’s all that we know about the VIVO U20. We’ll make sure to keep you noted on the device if it makes its way to Nepal. Until then, do let us know your thoughts on the device in the comments down below.
