UMIDIGI G5 Tab with 6000mAh Battery Launched in Nepal

UMIDIGI, the Shenzhen-based Chinese manufacturer, has launched the UMIDIGI G5 Tab tablet in Nepal.

The UMIDIGI Tab G5 is encased inside an aluminum alloy body from all sides. It has two cameras along with a flash on the rear. The frame is flat, giving the tablet a squarish design.

Design

The UMIDIGI G5 Tab’s design is inspired by the Apple iPad series and the Samsung Galaxy Tab A8, with the metal body and the flattened sides.

The volume and the power button of the device sit near the camera module on the side of the tablet. The USB Type-C port along with the hybrid SIM card slot and the speaker grille reside on the bottom portion of the tablet.

The 3.5mm headphone jack resides on the lower curved corner of the device. The tablet also comes with dual speakers to give stereo sound. To finish the look, the UMIDIGI logo is printed horizontally on the middle of the aluminum back.

Display

The G5 Tab features a 10.1-inch TFT LCD display that has a 16:10 aspect ratio.

The display has a resolution of 800 x 1280px which gives the display a pixel density of 149.95 pixels per inch. The display is surrounded by thick bezels on all sides.

Hardware

Powering the device is a UNISOC T606 octa-core processor. It has 2x 1.6 GHz Cortex-A75 high power cores and 6x 1.6 GHz Cortex-A55 efficiency cores.

The device comes with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage with support for microSD card expansion.

Cameras

The UMIDIGI G5 Tab comes with two cameras: one 13MP main shooter and another 2MP secondary camera that acts as the depth sensor. The camera module along with the flash rests on an elevated part of the back housing.

The selfie camera is a single 8MP shooter that rests on the bezel of the display. The main camera is capable of recording up to 1080p videos at 30fps whereas the front camera can record up to 720p videos at 30fps.

Battery and OS

Powering the tablet is a 6000mAh Li-Po battery. It charges through a USB Type-C cable at a rate of 10W.

In terms of software, the tablet comes with Android 13 as its operating system out of the box.
