Design

The Umidigi G1 Tab brings a new design that Umidigi calls “Aesthetic Silk-Feel”. The table is made from plastic and the back of the tablet has a silk-feel design with an anti-fingerprint and anti-smudge optimized finish.

The tablet looks clean with only the camera module at its back while also being thin for a tablet at 9.3mm and a comfortable 576gm. The tablet also features dual stereo speakers to further improve the multimedia experience.

Display

With a 16:10 aspect ratio, the tablet has a decent-sized 10.1″ display. There are rather thick bezels on all sides but the display itself doesn’t seem to have any discontinuities to it in the form of a notch or punch hole.

The resolution of the display is on the lower side at 1280×800 which nets the Umidigi G1 Tab a mere pixel-per-inch count of 149.5. It’s not the sharpest display out there but should be usable.

Hardware

Under the hood is an RK3562 quad-core chipset. It’s made by Rockchip and is mostly used in consoles. Performance is definitely not the strong selling point for this tablet as the RK3562 is a quad-core processor with 4*2.0GHz Cortex A53.

The storage option is also limited to just 4GB of DDR3 RAM and 64GB of eMMC 5.1 storage. Thankfully, you do have the option to expand storage via an SD Card up to 1TB.

Camera

In the camera department, the tablet features a primary 8MP f2.2 sensor. As for videos, the tablet can shoot 1080p@30fps videos.

The front also features an 8MP f2.2 camera and can shoot up to 720p@30fps videos.

Battery and OS

The tablet is juiced up by a large 6000mAh battery and supports 10W wired charging.

It runs on Android 13 out of the box.
