Samsung is the only major smartphone manufacturer aside from Apple that has its attention on the tablet market. Tablets from other manufacturers have pretty much died out.
Samsung tablets don’t sell as good as Apple tablets, but they at least make them. If you don’t like the Apple ecosystem or think that iOS is just boring, and you really need tablets for some reason, you should look at Samsung tablets.

IMS, (Integrated Mobility Solutions Pvt. Ltd.), is the authorized distributor of Samsung tablets in Nepal. Currently, they are selling three Samsung tablets in Nepal.
With that said, if you are looking to buy a Samsung tablet then let’s look at the list of Samsung tablets price in Nepal along with its key specifications.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 2020 looks like the S6 Lite from the back as it shares a similar camera design. It has a metal body that weighs 476g and its thickness also measures just 7mm. It comes with a quad-speaker system that can fill your room with Dolby Atmos surround sound.
The Tab A7 has gone for a 10.4 inch TFT LCD display. It has a screen resolution of 1200×2000 and has an 81.6% screen-to-body ratio.
Samsung is using the Snapdragon 662 chipset on the Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 2020. Furthermore, it comes in 32GB ROM and 3GB RAM.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 is a lower mid-range chipset that won’t provide top-notch performance but should be good enough for basic tasks and casual gaming.
In terms of camera, Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 2020 has a single 8MP sensor on the rear with autofocus. On the front, it comes with a 5MP sensor for selfies.
Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 has a massive 7040 mAh battery which is the same as the one on the Tab S6 Lite. It comes with 15W fast charging too. Tab A7 is running on One UI 2.1.
Samsung Tab A7 2020 is a good budget Android tablet. Though it doesn’t have a top-notch chipset for performance, it can do a decent job with Snapdragon 662. Also, it is rocking a similar display that is used on the Tab S6 Lite.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite
Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite has an all-metal back with a smooth finish. The frame is made from aluminum and from the front it looks like a usual tablet. The bezels are not too thin but it looks good overall. It supports a stylus as well and comes in the box unlike an iPad, you won’t need to shell extra cash for the stylus.
The Tab S6 Lite has gone for a 10.4 inch TFT LCD display. It has a screen resolution of 1200×2000 and has an 81.6% screen-to-body ratio.

It comes with Exynos 9611 which is to be fair a decent mid-range chipset. It can run multiple apps and games should run fine as well. But it won’t compete with the 7th Gen Apple iPad which is priced similarly.
But it does provide more storage than the iPad’s base variant which is a measly 32GB. Along with a 64GB storage option, it comes with 4GB RAM.
The S Pen isn’t like the one we see on Samsung’s Note lineup. It doesn’t have a built-in battery nor Bluetooth. It is always on and brings up the familiar menu with options to create a note, take a screenshot and write on it, access to the PENUP app, and more.
It has a single 8MP camera on the rear that can take 1080p videos and a 5MP camera on the front with 1080p video recording capability.
Furthermore, it has a 7040 mAh battery and it runs on Android 10 with One UI 2.
The Tab S6 Lite looks like a good choice if you want an Android tablet. But, Apple’s tablet is faster, has a better display and it’s sure to get continued updates. But, Galaxy Tab S6 lite comes with a Spen in the box. So, it provides great value if you are looking for an Android tablet.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8
Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8 was launched globally in July 2019. It has an aluminum back but uses a plastic frame. There’s a camera on the rear and on the front as well. The front bezels are quite chunky and the device has a big footprint as the result.
Upfront we get an 8 inches PLS TFT display. Any kind of protection is not mentioned. It’s an HD display (800 x 1280 pixels) with a 71% screen-to-body ratio.

It uses Snapdragon 429 chipset which is a very old chipset. It has a Quad-core 2.0 GHz Cortex-A53 CPU and Adreno 504 GPU. I would not be surprised if it will lag even during normal tasks like app opening and internet browsing.
Furthermore, it only has 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage.
There’s an 8MP main sensor on the rear and a 2MP selfie camera for video calls.
Furthermore, it has a 5100 mAh battery and it runs on Android 9.
Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8 is a very basic tablet. It does not even have a good enough chipset to have a lag-free app experience. Also, you won’t be able to multitask with only 2GB of RAM. Then, it has a 5100 mAh battery which might have been good in the old days, but mobile phones have a bigger battery these days.
This tab costs Rs. 19,099 and it could be useful for online classes right now but it won’t give you a pleasant performance for other things. Else, I don’t see why you should buy this tablet.
