The Ultima Atom 520 Pro is a successor to the popular Ultima Atom 520, which sold 20,000 units. The TWS is said to have 60ms latency, support Bluetooth v5.3, and give 45 hours of playback time. Additionally, it is also IPX5-rated.

Design

The Ultima Atom 520 Pro arrives in a rounded cuboid-shaped charging case with a singular color. The charging case features 4 LED indicators below its company name, right off the front. This helps the user precisely estimate the charge left.

Talking about the earbuds, the earbuds themselves come in a single-tone chrome finish which adds a premium look to them. There is an added indentation on the earbud stem where the touch sensor is placed.

These are an in-ear design which means that the earbuds have silicone ear-tips for a secure fit. Finally, the buds are also IPX5-rated for protection against light water and sweat but not against dust.

Features

The TWS earphones rock a 13mm driver. The latency of sound transmission is 60ms in “Gaming Mode”. Additionally, the earbuds have touch sensors on the stem that can be used to interact with the music being played or phone calls. This sensor can also be utilized to activate voice assistant on your phone.

The earbuds do feature a quad-mic setup for environmental noise canceling (ENC), which will help to make your voice calls clearer on the listener’s end. That being said, Ultima did not mention active noise canceling to reduce external sounds while listening to music.

Battery and Connectivity

The Atom 520 Pro has a 35mAh battery on each earbud and an additional 400mAh battery in the case. According to Ultima, the buds give up to a 45 hours of playtime at 70% volume, including the battery backup on the charging case.

Likewise, the earbuds are said to charge in under 30 minutes and the case in under 1.5 hours. The Atom 520 Pro is claimed to give 150 minutes of playtime with 10 minutes of charge. 

Finally, the earbuds support Bluetooth version 5.3, and the “Instant Wake N Pair” helps the device to instantly pair up with nearby smartphones by simply opening the case. Both Android and iOS devices support the earphone.
