Design

Suzuki Jimny continues the heritage that began in the 1970s.

It sports a boxy SUV design, complete with circular LED headlamps and 5-slot plated Grilled.

This is a throwback to the iconic Gypsy design.

Moreover, it features Optimized Angled Bumpers that increase wheel clearance. Plus, the tough-textured black material ensures ruggedness while being stone and scratch-resistant.

The side profile further highlights its quirky boxy design.

Interestingly enough, the front doors are a bit larger than the rear doors. Other cool details include black-out alloy wheels, a drip-type roof, and a headlamp washer.

Coming to the rear section, the rear tail lamp has been integrated at the bumper, perhaps to open up the boot space.

It gets a sporty blacked-out cabin with scratch-resistant material, a comfortable seat design, and intuitive controls to evoke a sense of balance.

Suzuki Jimny is powered by a 1.5L K15B Petrol engine. It generates a max power of 104.8PS at 6000 rpm and a max torque of 134.2Nm at 4000 rpm.

Moreover, it is mated to a 5-speed Manual Transmission with a 40-liter fuel tank capacity.

Suzuki did not opt for Jimny’s newer Dualjet Petrol engine technology. Instead, it has opted for an older K-Series engine.

Interestingly enough, the company did not do this for cost savings.

The 3-door international version of the Suzuki Jimny continues to utilize the K15B engine. So, the company will continue to follow that trend in the Indian and Nepali markets as well.

Both Suzuki Jimny variants feature the All-Grip Pro AWD System (4×4 capable) as standard.

Other key performance highlights include a 36-degree Approach Angle, 47-degree Departure Angle, and 24-degree Ramp Breakover Angle.

The dimensions are 3985 mm in length, 1645 mm in width, and 1720 mm in height. Moreover, the wheelbase sits at 2590mm.

It gets a 3-Link Rigid Axle with Coil Spring Suspension both at the front and back.

Suzuki Jimny boasts a ground clearance of 210mm.

Since it uses a Ladder Frame chassis, the kerb weight stands at 1195-1200kg. Moreover, the boot space is 211 liters which is expandable up to 332 liters.
