Samsung M01 with Snapdragon 439 and Dual Camera Launched in Nepal

Samsung has launched Samsung M01 in Nepal. It’s better sibling Samsung M01s was launched early this September.

Samsung M01 price in Nepal is Rs. 14,999 for 3GB RAM and 32GB variant. It’s a trimmed-down version of the Samsung M01s which starts at Rs. 15,999.

Samsung M01 is a budget phone that excludes a fingerprint sensor and comes with Snapdragon 439 chipset. Let’s see what else it provides.

Samsung M01 Overview

Design

Samsung Galaxy M01 is made up of plastic with a plastic back and plastic frame. The fingerprint sensor is not included in the M01 but it retains the same dual-camera setup on the rear as the Samsung M01s.

On the front, it gets a notch design. Samsung calls in Infinity-v display.

Display

Samsung Galaxy M01 flaunts a smaller 5.7 inches HD display compared to 6.2 inches HD display on the M01s. The screen resolution remains the same at 720 X 1520 pixels.

It’s a PLS TFT display with a 19:9 screen ratio and 294 PPI pixel density.

Hardware

Samsung Galaxy M01 is powered by Snapdragon 439 chipset along with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage.

Snapdragon 439 SoC uses Octa-core (4×1.95 GHz Cortex-A53 & 4×1.45 GHz Cortex A53) CPU and Adreno 505 GPU. Samsung Galaxy M01s uses Helio P22.

Mediatek Helio P22 SoC has an Octa-core (4×2.0 GHz & 4×1.5 GHz) CPU and a PowerVR GE8320 GPU. Both of them have similar performance as Helio P22 has slightly better CPU performance and the Snapdragon 439 is slightly better in terms of GPU performance.

For Rs. 15,000, its not the best performing phone. The likes of Redmi 9C have a better chipset. However, the performance difference won’t be significant.

Camera

In the camera department, Samsung M01 has a dual-camera setup on the rear which is exactly the same as M01s. There’s an f/1.8 13 MP main sensor and an f/2.4 2MP depth sensor.

On the front, it gets an f/2.0 5MP camera for selfies. It can capture 1080p@30fps from the rear camera.

Battery

Samsung M01s has a respectable 4000 mAh battery with 10W charging.

Its battery is quite average in this price segment. It should easily last for a day on normal usage.

Furthermore, it runs on Android 10, One UI 2.
