July is the month for the mid-year Galaxy Unpacked Event, where Samsung launches its new batch of folding and flipping devices. This time, we have the Galaxy Z Flip7 taking center stage.
Samsung also introduced the Galaxy Z Fold7, Galaxy Z Flip7 FE, and the Watch 8 series. However, our main focus here will be the Flip7.
While the Galaxy Flip7 launched in July and Samsung is pretty swift to bring the newly launched device to Nepal, they took their sweet time this time around.
What is the Price of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 in Nepal?
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 price in Nepal is Rs. 1,54,999 (12/256GB), which is the same as the Flip6 last year. This is in line with the pricing in the international market, which did not see any changes either.
Samsung has started taking pre-orders for the device and will continue to do so until August 14. Customers can go to the Samsung Campaigns website to pre-order the Galaxy Z Flip7 by paying an advance of Rs. 5,000.
Customers can get the Galaxy Buds3 worth Rs. 22,999 at just Rs. 9,999 by pre-booking the phone. If they decide to opt out of the buds offer, they still get a break insurance worth 1 year and the exchange facility for free.
In terms of design, Samsung has made some bold moves with the Z Flip7. The most eye-catching upgrades are the larger displays on both the front and back, along with its impressively slim profile. But once you get past the looks, the internals? They’re kind of underwhelming.
Let’s dive into the specs and see what Samsung has brought to the table this time.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 Overview
Design
Samsung is finally catching up with the trend and has given the Z Flip7 a massive end-to-end cover display that wraps around the camera cutout, just like most hamburger phones have been doing for a while now.
The new design looks amazing and puts last year’s Z Flip6 to shame.
At first glance, especially the cover screen, it kinda reminds me of Motorola’s Razr 60 Ultra. The dual cameras on the cover screen are now positioned further toward the corner, giving the display a cleaner, more streamlined look. The bezels are also razor-thin—something the Razr 60 Ultra didn’t quite nail.
Besides the display, the frame and hinge use Armor Aluminum, and the phone still has its IP48 rating. Samsung says the main screen is now thinner, lighter, and stronger thanks to a new titanium plate layer.
The device features Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for enhanced durability. Folded, it measures 13.7mm thick, making it roughly 1.2mm thinner than the Z Flip6. This reduction was achieved by waterproofing the internal components rather than the entire casing.
Display
Let’s start with the star of the show—the massive 4.1-inch FlexWindow. It’s a Super AMOLED panel with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 1048 x 948 pixels.
Unfolded, the phone reveals a flagship-level 6.9-inch Dynamic LTPO AMOLED 2X display. This is an FHD+ screen with a resolution of 2520 x 1080 pixels and an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate that scales from 1Hz to 120Hz. Meanwhile, the cover display switches between 60Hz and 120Hz.
Both displays peak at 2600 nits of brightness, so visibility should be excellent even under bright outdoor conditions.
On a different note, the Z Flip7, along with the Z Fold7, now supports Samsung DeX. This feature lets you turn your screen into a functional workstation, offering a seamless, PC-like experience.
Hardware
The Z Flip7 uses Samsung’s in-house Exynos 2500 chipset. I was hoping it would come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen Elite, just like the Flip6 did with last year’s flagship chip. However, since the Z Fold7 is using the 8 Elite, it seems like Samsung is testing the waters by introducing the Exynos 2500 on the Z Flip7.
Reportedly, Samsung is planning to switch back to Exynos for its flagship lineup next year, and the Flip7 seems like a strategic choice to gauge how the new chip performs in the market.
The Exynos 2500 features a total of 10 cores, two more than what most phones on the market offer. Based on early benchmark scores, the chip performs slightly better than the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 but slightly below the 8 Gen 4. Still, we’ll have to wait and see how it holds up in real-world usage.
The Z Flip7 is backed by 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and comes in two storage options: 256GB and 512GB. Continuing on the previous year’s trend, the Nepali market is only receiving the 256GB variant.

Camera
The camera setup remains an exact copy of last year’s Z Flip6. It seems Samsung poured all its innovation into the design and simply copied and pasted the rest of the specs.
That said, the main camera is a 50MP shooter, paired with a 12MP ultra-wide lens, essentially the same one Samsung has used since the very first Z Flip. The main camera can take 2x optical-quality zoom shots, enabled by the Adaptive Pixel sensor rather than an actual telephoto lens.
It’s kinda disappointing that Samsung still hasn’t added a proper telephoto lens to its clamshell phones.
You still get a 10MP selfie camera on the main screen, same as last year. But the real win? With that flip design, you can snap selfies using the main cameras for sharper, better-looking results.
Battery
Samsung squeezed in a 4,300mAh battery in the Z Flip7, which is better than the Flip6, but still feels a bit weak next to something like the Moto Razr 60 Ultra’s 4,700mAh.
Once again, Samsung is sticking with 25W fast charging. Considering even the flagship S25 Ultra only supports 45W, I’m not complaining too much. But 15W wireless charging and just 4.5W reverse wireless on a phone that costs approximately Rs. 1,54,000? Come on, Samsung. It’s like they’re not even trying to win.
OS and AI
The Z Flip7 runs on the brand-new Android 16 with One UI 8 layered on top, right out of the box. Now, I haven’t had the phone in hand yet, but judging by Samsung’s solid track record with clean UI and smooth software experience, I’m pretty confident we’re in for a treat.
OS support is still a bit uncertain at this point, but the phone is confirmed to receive 7 years of security updates. And since Samsung now offers 7 years of OS upgrades on select devices, the Z Flip7 might fall into that same category.
One UI 8 introduces Knox Enhanced Encrypted Protection (KEEP)—an upgraded version of Samsung’s Knox Security, which was previously reserved for flagship and semi-flagship models.
Samsung is also pushing some new AI features like “Now Brief” and “Now Bar,” though they honestly seem more like gimmicks to me. What does sound interesting, however, is Gemini Live. Just speak to it, and you’ll get real-time information, directly accessible through the FlexWindow.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 | Price in Nepal | OFFER |
---|---|---|
12/256GB | Rs. 1,54,999 | Galaxy Buds3 at just Rs. 9,999 + 1 year breakage insurance |
To be honest, it’s good to see Samsung finally following market trends to some extent, especially with the introduction of a larger cover display. Their clamshell phones are finally stepping up, at least in the design department.
That said, it is still far from a perfect phone. It could have included a telephoto lens, maybe? The charging could have been faster. But all that doesn’t matter as much as Samsung taking a bold step, powering the thing with Exynos 2500 instead of the Snapdragon 8 Elite for the flagship-level phone Galaxy Flip7!
